Poll: Favorite Independent Film of the 50s and 60s

The most often used definition of an "independent film" is “any film made outside the Hollywood studio system,” with considerations made for such things as budget, source of funds, and distribution. That definition has blurred considerably over the decades, though, and, according to Indie Wire, "you could find any number of films that move fluidly between 'studio' and 'indie' when it comes to one or more of those aspects." Nonetheless, "indies" are an important part of cinema and, even without a perfect definition, most people feel like they "know one when they see one." Although independent films existed as far back as 1908, "indie films," as we know them today, had their burgeoning era in the 1950s and 60s. Below are some of the most noteworthy; of these, which is your favorite?
