Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, is dead. King Robert Baratheon plans to ask his oldest friend, Eddard Stark, to take Jon's place. Across the sea, Viserys Targaryen plans to wed his sister, Daenerys to warlord, Khal Drago in exchange for an army.
Tyrion Lannister arrives at Kings Landing to take his father, Tywin's place as Hand of the King. Stannis Baratheon plans to take the Iron Throne for his own. Robb Stark tries to decide his next move in the war. The Night's Watch arrive at Craster's Keep.
Jon Snow is brought before Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, while the Night's Watch survivors retreat south. In King's Landing, Tyrion Lannister asks for his reward. Littlefinger offers Sansa Stark a way out.
