Poll: R.I.P. Jim Brown, an American Football Player, Civil Rights Activist and Film Star
On May 18, 2023, one of the greatest players to have ever played American style football in the fullback position (in fact, a NFL Hall of Fame inductee), and a civil rights activist, and film star, James “Jim” Nathaniel Brown died. Like Woody Strode before him, he switched to film acting and became “the first black action star*” of the black exploitation film period of the late 60’s and 70’s. Here is a list of his films. Which do you remember Jim Brown the best in?

* Silly me! Here I thought Woody Strode in The Last Voyage, Sergeant Rutledge, Spartacus, Pork Chop Hill, and Sidney Poitier in The Long Ships and The Defiant Ones beat Brown to that title. You got to give credit to the ones who came before.
