So, here we go. The final of The Great British Bake Off 2022.
And it's a fine, suitably jolly occasion, but I'd be lying if I said it was the most engaging final the show has ever produced. For me there was one clear favourite, and indeed in turn one clear winner, and it was just a case of how much of a fight/contest the other two finalists would make it to stop them from winning.
Which they duly couldn't.
Overall it's been a fine, entertaining enough series for the show, but there was a sense of it going through the motions, with there not being many of the bakers that you particularly rooted for.
