Vladimir Malakhov was born on 7 January 1968 in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. He began ballet lessons at the age of four. In 1978, he joined the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow and trained there until the age of eighteen. In 1986, he joined the Moscow Classical Ballet as the company's youngest principal dancer.
In 1992, he joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet and, in 1994, he joined the National Ballet of Canada. In 1995, Malakhov debuted with the American Ballet Theater at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. He remains a principal dancer with ABT. Malakhov currently resides in New York. He is unmarried and has no children.- Anthony Amato was born on July 21, 1920 in Minori, Campania, Italy. He met his future wife, Sally Amato, while performing in a musical comedy production at the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey. They were married in 1945. In 1948, Tony and Sally opened the Amato Opera Theater in the basement of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Greenwich Village. They later moved to 159 Bleecker Street where they developed one of the first off-Broadway theater companies. In 1963, the Amato Opera Theater moved to 319 Bowery Street where they are still currently based. He continues to work as Artistic Director. Tony and Sally received many accolades during their fifty-two years working in theater. They were inducted into the City Lore's Peoples' Hall of Fame and received commendations from the American Cultural Roundtable and the Italian Heritage and Cultural Committee. They were also the subject of a PBS documentary, "Amato: A Love Affair With Opera". Sadly, Sally passed away on 16 August 2000 after a a long illness. Her funeral was held on 19 August 2000 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Greenwich Village and she is buried at City Island Cemetery.
- Tom Williams was born in 1970 in Sydney, Australia. After finishing high school, Tom worked as a builders laborer while modeling part time. He also worked in the advertising industry for two years before leaving Australia to travel the world as a twenty-five year old. He spent several years snowboarding in Canada before returning to Australia where he continued his sporting pursuits, finishing as a finalist in the 2000 Australian and World Titles of Open Men's Surf Boat Competition. In July 2000, Tom called into a radio talk back program on Sydney radio station Triple J. The show was hosted by comedic duo Merrick & Rosso, who liked the style of "Tom The Chippy From Manly [a Sydney suburb]". When the pair moved to rival radio station Nova 969, Tom moved with them and began presenting his own segment, "The Chippy Driver Reviver", in April 2001. Soon after that, he was offered a job on the travel program "The Great Outdoors", which he began filming in July 2001. In early 2005, Tom appeared in the second season of the ballroom dancing program, "Dancing With The Stars", which he and his partner (Kym Johnson) won last April. Tom his can currently be seen each week on "The Great Outdoors" alongside reigning Miss Universe, Jennifer Hawkins. Tom is single and has no children. He currently resides in Sydney.

Susan Elizabeth Rotolo was born on 20 November 1943 in Queens, New York, USA. She was the youngest daughter of Joachim Rotolo and his wife, Mary Pezzati. She has one older sister named Carla. In 1961, Suze met the then little known folk singer Bob Dylan at a live radio folk extravaganza broadcast from Riverside Church, where he was performing. She was seventeen and Bob was twenty. They immediately began dating. Bob has said their first meeting, "She was the most erotic thing I had ever seen". She and Bob lived together in Greenwich Village for two years, and Bob wrote several of his most famous love songs for her. However, their relationship ended badly when he left her for folk singer Joan Baez. In 1963, Suze had discovered she was pregnant with Bob's child, but decided to get an abortion. In 1972, she married Enzo Bartoccioli and they had a son who now works as a guitarist. Suze and her husband currently live in New York, where she teaches art at the Parsons School of Design.- Steven Quartermain was born in 1960 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. In 1980, he began his career in the media as a cadet reporter with Leader Association Newspapers before moving to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where he worked for three years as a radio and television journalist. In December 1984, Steven moved to Channel 10 where he has worked consistently for the past twenty years. He considers his career highlights to be commentating on the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the 1989 Ashes Tour of England, and the 1989 Wimbledon Tournament. In his personal life, Steven has been married twice. His first wife, Julie, is a former model with whom he has a son named Jack (born in 1995). He recently married his second wife, Paige. John Newman was born on 22 December 1945 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. In 1964, he graduated from Geelong Grammar and began playing professional football that same year. He played 300 games for Geelong Cats and is now recognised as a legend of the club and of the game. In 2002, he was inducted into the AFL Hall Of Fame and included as a member of the Geelong Team Of The Century.- Serafina Bellantone was born on 27 September 1917 in The Bronx, New York, USA. - Peter Overton was born in 1965 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He grew up next door to actress Nicole Kidman. In 1983, Peter graduated high school and began studying for his Bachelor of Economics degree. In 1985, while doing work experience at radio station 2UE, Peter fell into journalism when the regular sports reporter suddenly fell ill. Peter stepped in and was such a natural that the station offered him a full time job. In 1987, Peter moved to Sky Channel where he worked as a presenter and reporter. In 1990, he began reading the weekend sports report for Channel 7 in Adelaide. In 1992, he worked as a sports reporter for National Nine News, which he continued to do for eleven years. In 2001, Peter became a household name throughout Australia as a reporter for "60 Minutes". In the mid-1990s, Peter married his childhood sweetheart, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2000. In mid-2001, Peter began dating Channel 10 news reader, Jessica Rowe. They became engaged on 9 August 2003 and married five months later. On 12 January 2004, Peter and Jessica wed barefoot on Bondi Beach.

Paul James O'Grady was born on 14 June 1955 in Birkenhead, England. He attended St Anselm's Christian Brothers School. After his graduation, he worked as a clerk in a magistrate's court.
During that time he met a woman named Diane Jansen with whom he had a brief affair. Their daughter, Sharyn, was born in 1974. However, Paul felt that he was too young to be a father and decided to travel to Europe where he worked (among other occupations) as a waiter in a brothel in Manila.
He returned to England in the 1980s and, in 1985, debuted his drag character, Lily Savage, in the gay bars and clubs throughout London. The character became extremely popular and afforded Paul his own television show, Live from the Lilydrome (1995), which debuted in 1995. In 2000, he retired the character of Lily Savage and began appearing on television solely as Paul O'Grady.
In 2002, Paul suffered a heart attack in his London flat. He moved to a farm near Kent, England. Paul was devoted to his daughter. Nicholas John Cester was born on 6 July 1979 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is better known as the lead singer of rock band Jet. The band was formed in 2001 and is comprised of Nic (vocals), his brother Chris Cester (drums), Cameron Muncey (guitar) and Mark Wilson (bass). When Jet first began performing in clubs, Nic was working in a Melbourne factory as a forklift operator. The band was signed to record label Elektra after their debut single, "Take It Or Leave It", became a hit. When Nic isn't touring with Jet, he hangs out in his home town of Melbourne. Nathan Jay Berkus was born on 17 September 1971 in Orange County, California, USA. He began working in interior design straight out of high school and interned at Dominique Aurientis in Paris and Sotheby's in Chicago. He then went on to study at Lake Forest College in Chicago and graduated with degrees in French and Sociology. After college, Nate took a full time job at Leslie Hindman's auction house before beginning his own Chicago-based company, Nate Berkus Associates, in 1995. Nate has won many awards and commendations during his career including: Chicago Social Magazine Design Director 2000, House Beautiful's Next Wave Design Talent 2003, and Craine Business Magazine's 40 Under 40 To Watch 2003. Kristin Lee Davis was born on February 23, 1965 in Boulder, Colorado. An only child, her parents divorced when she was a baby. She was adopted by her stepfather, psychology professor Keith Davis, after he married her mother, Dorothy, a university data analyst, in 1968. Early in her childhood, Kristin and her parents moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where her stepfather was transferred to a university. She lived in South Carolina until she graduated high school in 1983. She then moved to New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University. After graduation, she moved to New York and waited tables before opening a yoga studio with a friend. In 1995, she got her big break when she landed the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell on Melrose Place (1992). John Gregory Foreman was born in April 1972 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. John has been interested in music since he was a baby and began learning piano at the age of six. When he was twelve, he won a scholarship to The Newcastle Conservatorium and, by the time he was seventeen, was an associate member of the State Conservatorium of Music. He finished school at Sydney's Conservatorium High School before completing a jazz course at university. After graduating, John became Musical Director of Good Morning Australia, a position he has held for the past twelve years. In 2003, he was also appointed Musical Director of the Australian Idol competitions. John is well known throughout Australia for his musical talents. Gwen Renée Stefani was born on October 3, 1969 in Fullerton, California & raised in Anaheim, California. She was one of four children born to Dennis Stefani and Patti Flynn. Pennsylvania-born Ethan Stiefel began his dance training at the age of 8 in Madison, Wisconsin. He studied for two years at the Milwaukee Ballet School with both Ted Kivitt and Paul Sutherland. He also studied with Marcia Dale Weary at the Pennsylvania Youth Ballet before moving to New York to attend American Ballet Theatre's School of Classical Ballet and the School of American Ballet on scholarship. At 16 he joined the corps de ballet of the New York City Ballet. In 1992, Mr. Stiefel took a leave of absence to perform with the Zurich Ballet. David Hyde Pierce was born in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA. He is the youngest child of George and Laura Pierce (both deceased) and has two older sisters (Barbara and Nancy) and an older brother (Thomas). As a child, he was very interested in music (particularly piano) and regularly played the organ at his local church (Bethesda Episcopal Church). David discovered a love of drama in high school and, upon his graduation in 1977, he received the Yaddo Medal which is to honor academic achievement and personal character. However, his love of music was still strong so he decided to study classical piano at Yale University.
Unfortunately, he soon grew bored with music history lessons and found that he wasn't dedicated enough to practice the required amount of hours to become a successful concert pianist. Instead, he returned to his love of drama and graduated in 1981 with a double major in English and Theatre Arts. He then moved to New York where he worked several menial jobs (including selling ties at Bloomingdales and working as a security guard) while acting in the theater during the late 80s and early 90s. He appeared in small roles in films such as Bright Lights, Big City (1988) before his life and career changed forever when he landed the role of "Dr. Niles Crane" in the television series Frasier (1993). Throughout the show's eleven year run (1993-2004), David was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series each year (he won four times: 1995, 1998-1999 and 2004). David William Hughes was born in 1970 in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. After graduating high school in 1988, he studied commerce at Deakin University in Warrnambool for two years before dropping out of the course. He then went on the dole for seven years before finding work as a stand-up comic. He now works as co-host of a breakfast radio program, as well as a panelist on two television programs - After the Game (2003) (aka "Before the Game") and The Glass House (2001). Chuck Workman's theatrical short, "Precious Images," made for the Directors Guild of America, won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short and has become the most widely shown short in film history. It was recently selected as a landmark film for preservation by the Library of Congress National Film Registry. Workman wrote, directed and produced several documentaries, including "Superstar," a theatrical documentary on artist Andy Warhol which appeared at the Berlin Festival, London Film Festival, and several other festivals. Workman's history of the motion picture, "The First 100 Years," appeared on HBO, and received a Cable ACE Award. He produced and directed "The Source," a documentary film on the Beat Generation, with performance sequences starring John Turturro, Dennis Hopper, and Johnny Depp. This film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His documentary "Visionaries," on experimental film, was at the Tribeca Festival in 2010. He has just completed a feature length film essay "What is Cinema?," which premiered at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, and is currently directing a documentary on Orson Welles, called "The Magician." Workman is the writer and director of an independent dramatic film, "A House on a Hill," starring Phillip Baker Hall, Laura San Giacomo, and Henry Rollins. "The Money," his first dramatic feature, was at the Deauville Festival, and several other festivals. Workman created short films and openings for twenty Academy Awards presentations and two Emmy Award shows, was nominated for an Emmy for Directorial Achievement for his work on the Oscar show, and has been nominated nine times for editing on the Oscar show. He also created short films for the Motion Picture and Television Fund, UCLA, the Reagan Library, the Motion Picture Association of America, Disneyworld, Eastman Kodak, Turner, and many other organizations and companies. Workman's short film, "Words," was produced for the Writers Guild and was at several festivals, including New York and Denver, where it was awarded Best Short. His short, "A Tribute to Charlie Chaplin," appeared at the Cannes Festival in 2002 and several festivals in 2003. His video work has been featured in London's Museum of the Moving Image, New York's American Museum of the Moving Image, and the Oakland Museum of Art. Workman was also a leading maker of film trailers and promos. He created trailers for "Star Wars," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "American Graffiti," "Paris, Texas" and other major films, He also created main titles and special sequences for movies and TV series, and directed numerous television commercials, receiving three CLIO awards. Chuck Workman is a former President of the International Documentary Association, was a Commissioner of the Santa Monica Arts Commission, and is a member of the Grants Committee of the Motion Picture Academy. He was recently a visiting artist for the U.S. State Department, showing films and speaking in many countries. He has lectured at 30 universities and media arts centers and is currently a Distinguished Artist and Coordinator of the Film Program at Purchase College in New York.- Producer

Carson Lee Kressley was born on 11 November 1969 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA. Growing up, he was very interested in horses and owned his first pony (named Sparky) when he was five years old. Carson still loves horses and is now a world champion equestrian. In 1987, he graduated high school and went on to study at Gettysburg College from which he graduated in 1991 (magna cum laude and phi beta kappa) with degrees in Finance and Fine Arts. Following his college graduation, Carson worked as a stylist for Ralph Lauren for many years before auditioning for Queer Eye (2003).
In 2004, after Carson's first year with "Queer Eye", the show won an Emmy for "outstanding reality program". Post "Queer Eye" Carson appeared as the critically acclaimed host of "How to Look Good Naked" and a fan favorite contestant on Dancing with the Stars 13th season. In April 2012 Shop NBC launched Carson's collection of affordable glamour wear, "Love, Carson".- Belinda Emmett was born on 12 April 1974 in Umina Beach, New South Wales, Australia. As a teenager, she worked for local radio station Coast Rock FM before landing her first major acting role as "Tracy Russell" in the popular sitcom Hey Dad..! (1987). She became a household name two years later when she joined the cast of popular drama series Home and Away (1988) as "Rebecca Fisher". In early 1998, at the age of twenty-three, Belinda was diagnosed with breast cancer. She took time off from Home and Away (1988) to undergo chemotherapy treatments and, twelve months later, she was deemed to be in remission. In late 1999, Belinda met comedian Rove McManus at the opening of Sydney's Fox Studios. The pair began dating and were married five years later. Rove proudly called Belinda his "greatest reward". In 2000, Belinda began working on the popular drama series All Saints (1998) as "Jodie Horner". However, one year later, she was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer after experiencing severe back pain, which she was told would eventually claim her life. On 29 January 2005, Belinda married her long-time love, Rove McManus, at Mary Immaculate Church in Sydney. Belinda Emmett passed away on 11 November 2006 surrounded by her family and friends. She was fare-welled at a funeral held at the same church she was married in less than two years earlier. Belinda was a much-loved actress who will be remembered for her courageous fight against cancer and her charity work, which helped raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

April Michelle Bowlby was born on 30 July 1980 in Vallejo, California, USA. She and her family moved to Manteca, California, when she was a small child. She studied ballet, French, and marine biology at Moorpark College, before deciding to pursue an acting career. She studied drama with Ivana Chubbuck before landing her first role in a major television series, "Kandi" in series Two and a Half Men (2003)), within weeks of her first Hollywood audition.- Anthony Hudson was born in 1971 in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. He began his media career on Bendigo community radio station 3CCC. In 1989, he graduated high school and moved to Melbourne where he studied Journalism at RMIT University as well as working behind the scenes of radio station 3AW. In 1995, he returned to 3AW and began working as a football commentator alongside Rex Hunt. He was then recruited by Channel 7 to form part of their football commentary team. He also worked as part of the commentary team for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. In 2002, he returned to Channel 10 as a football commentator and now heads the station's Saturday afternoon football coverage. He can also be seen regularly on Fox Footy as well as on football program "Before The Game". He currently lives in Melbourne with his wife (they have no children).

Alain de Botton was born on 20 December 1969 in Zurich, Switzerland. He is the only son of Gilbert de Botton and Jacqueline Burgauer. He has one sister named Miel. Alain spent his childhood in Switzerland, where he learned to speak French and German. In 1981, Alain and his family moved to London, where he was primarily educated. He studied history at Cambridge University (1988-1990) and completed a masters degree in philosophy at Kings College (1991-1992). In 1993, his first novel, 'Essays In Love', was published. He has since written many books on what he describes as "the philosophy of everyday life". His works have all been critically acclaimed, particularly his most well known non-fiction novel, 'How Proust Can Change Your Life' (1997). Alain now lives in London with his wife, Charlotte Neser, and their two young sons, Samuel and Saul. He is a regular contributer to several English newspapers, and lectures extensively on his books. He also owns his own production company, Seneca Productions, which regularly presents documentaries based on his works.
