Graduated from University of Calcutta in 1998, Sarbani Mukherjee (nee) Majumdar completed her Post Graduate diploma in Media Studies: Films and Television from the same university in 2000. She started her career as a freelance journalist in Kolkata, and contributed for vernacular news dallies and fortnightlies like Praktohik Sambad, Sambad Ekhon and also contributed for The Asian Age. Post marriage, with noted author and journalist Ram Kamal Mukherjee in 2007, she shifted her base to Mumbai.
She started her career as a Public Relationship trainee for Raindrop Media, Bollywood's leading publicity agency. Under the tutelage of Media Director Rohini Iyer and her team she worked for top Bollywood stars and production houses. During her tenure in Raindrop Media, she worked on films like Sajid Nadiadwala's Hey Babby, Abbas Mastan's Naqaab and Anand L Rai's Strangers.
In 2009, she formed her own company Karmic Media, in partnership with Rolland Cabral. Rolland came with almost a decade long experience in print and electronic media. Under Karmic Media, they have worked with many celebrities like Hema Malni, Esha Deol, Sonu Sood, Arjan Bajwa, Sonali Kulkarni, Samir Dattani, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Nikhil Dwivedi, Shreyas Talpade, Kapil Sharma, Eesha Kopikkar, Gracy Singh, Nisha Kothari, Sherlyn Chopra and Rituparna Sengupta. She has also worked as publicist for reputed production houses like Pritish Nandy Communications, White Feather Films, Mukta Arts and corporate clients like Videocon.
Sarbani worked on various individual clients and added her own image management skills:- Hema Malini: The eternal dream girl's voluminous, versatile and dynamic career needed to be focused rightly and positioned properly. And she honored her with the opportunity of positioning the stories and articles in a manner that would do justice to her towering personality.
Sonu Sood: With his career soaring from being a supporting actor to a lead actor (after Jodha Akbar), one had to focus on Sonu Sood's personal image, the kind of cinema he intended to sign and the kind of people he wanted to work with. He was regularly featured in Bombay Times, Mirror Mumbai and Midday.
Eesha Koppikhar: Eesha Kopikhar was no longer just the hot 'khallas' girl; there is more substance to her roles now. With meatier roles and being on the jury panel for Miss Universe 2008, Eesha's public image could just well do with a bit of a makeover. Also, the fact that she is the perfect blend of Indian and Western look needed to be brought to the forefront... something none other than the great Roberto Cavalli complimented her about too. With her next release being Ram Gopal Varma's Shabri, where she plays a lady don, her versatility also needed to be publicised.
Rituparna Sengupta: When one of the finest Bengali actresses, National Award winner Rituparna Sengupta decided to spread her wings and get into Bollywood too, the fact needed to be spoken about. And that's exactly what she did as part of the publicity strategy for her, especially since the actress who has worked with the likes of Rituparno Ghosh, Aparna Sen, Budhhadeb Dasgupta, would be working with an out and out commercial directors like David Dhawan in Do Not Disturb and Priyadarshan in Bum Bum Bole.
Gracy Singh: This mega talented and perhaps the most underrated actors in Bollywood is extremely media shy and believes that only her work should do the talking. So, she needed special attention and positioning in the media. There are many interesting facts like though she started out as a TV actress, she has worked with the biggest names like Amitabh Bachchan (Arman), Aamir Khan (Lagaan), Sanjay Dutt (Munnabhai MBBS)... and that she is also a renowned classical dancer who never performs any Bollywood numbers on stage.
Arjan Bajwa: Got him well-deserved coverage related to films like Summer of 2007, Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion in all the leading daily newspapers like Bombay Times, Midday, Mumbai Mirror, Hindustan Times, DNA and Screen. Also arranged for interviews with regional papers like Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagaran, Navbharat Times, Calcutta Times, Hyderabad Times, Bangalore Times, Jaipur Times, etc.
Sherlyn Chopra: The outrageous girl believes in reaching the top. And her journey began with her first music video 'Outrageous'. She believes in giving the best and taking out the best from her media manager. Her second album 'Dard E Sherlyn', a tribute to Hema Malini's song 'Mujhe dard raheta hai' (Dus Numbari) created a hype and controversy. Her press conference in Delhi had almost half of the media gathered to see her performing live in front of guests like Hare Rama Hare Krishna diva Zeenat Aman and director Jagmohan Mundhra. There was immense coverage on all electronic channels like Headlines Today, Aaj Tak and NDTV India as well. Currently she floated her second venture Assorted Digital Motion Pictures with Aritra Das. This is an extension of her previous entity of media strategist. She will be working on various social media platform, media marketing and buying. This company will also organize various Bollywood related events.- Saptrishi Ghosh is an Indian film and television actor. He is also known as a voiceover (voice dubbing) artist. When there are two roads ahead in life, it is often very difficult to decide which way to go.A student of a reputed school in Assam, very good in studies, always first in class, why should a boy who could easily choose a definite profession after finishing his studies choose an uncertain one? This is exactly what happened in the life of Prashanta Bardhan. After watching Yash Chopra's film Deewar, when he was in tenth class, Prashant started dreaming, one day he will be a film director, not a doctor, not an engineer.Conflict on the one hand, passion for cinema on the other. Finally, just after completing graduation, one day, ignoring all the obstacles, he left for Bombay. After coming to Bombay, the struggle started, the joy of struggling through struggle, Prashant realized it to the bone. After learning video camera work for some time in the beginning, one day he got a chance to assist Director Vinod Pandey in the Reporter serial (one Hour weekly series for DD1). Shekhar Suman played the lead role in the serial & the other characters were Mukesh Rishi, Navni Parihar, Raj Kiran, Govind Namdeo. While working on the Reporter serial, Prashant was overwhelmed when he saw Director Mani Ratnam's film "ROJA". Then the only thought in his mind was that one day he would assist to either Yash Chopra or Mani Ratnam. In the days when there was no Reporter shooting & Editing he would often go to Yash Chopra's office. He would stand up when Yashji entered or left the office, never said anything. After about fifteen or sixteen encounters like this, one day Yashji asked Prashant, "Do you want to tell me something?" Prashant told Yashji that he wanted to assist him. Yashji responded in the affirmative & asked to meet him after three months. Yashji's personality left a huge impression on Prashant that how can a Director as big as Yashji be so simple, so amiable !! Shortly afterwards, Prashant joined Nimbus as the chief assistant to Suhail Tatari, the series director of FARZ Serial and about a month later, he got the chance to direct Farz. Prashant was hesitant, could not decide, what should be done, Farz Serial should be directed or Yashji should be assisted. There was a great need for money for family responsibilities at that time and that is why it was not possible for him to leave Nimbus and join Yashji. In Farz, the cast were Ashutosh Rana, Sandhya Mridul Singh, Deepak Qazir, Ravi Jhankal, Prashant Narayanan. After Farz Prashant directed another Daily Soap "NYAY" (DD Metro) produced by Nimbus, Sudhir Mishra was the series Director of Nyay. Actor Ram Kapoor made his debut in Nyay serial. In Nyay other cast were, Harsh Chhaya, Mona Ambegaonkar, Vijay Raaj, Kartika Rane, Sandeep Kulkarni, Dinesh Thakur. After Nyay, Prashant got a chance to direct Suhail Tatari's weekly series "KADAM" (Sahara Channel). In one story, Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the main lead, in another one story Divya Dutta played the lead role & Sudeep Chatterjee was the DOP in one story. In between, as an Associate Director to Director Suhail Tatari, Prashant has worked on a number of serials, short film (Disconnected), Web series (Spotlight), and films (Summer 2007 produced by Atul Pandey and Tennis Buddies). He has also worked with Director Vikram Bhatt as an Associate Director.Prashant directed two weekly Bengali series in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prashant directed a Bengali film also named, "Bhalobaasar 2nd Marriage", produced by Prabin Bardhan. He has directed Village Boy Production's "Ek Ghar Banaunga" (Star Plus), Bitti Businesswali ( & TV), Chho Lo Aasman (One Hour Docu-Drama for DD Kisan). Now his only goal is to fulfill his unfulfilled dream & he is working in that direction with all his heart and soul.- Paulson Thomas is born in Thrissur, Kerala, India. At present he is living in Mumbai, Maharashtra. By profession, he is a Dancer, Actor, Choreographer & Director. Paulson learned dance from Street. Because his middle class family was against his wish. He worked as electrician and plumber for covering his passion of dance. VINOD RAMAN NAIR was born on the 27 th October 1973, in Mumbai - India to a middle class household of Socialist India. His father Raman Nair was an Administrative Manager at the BIMA and mother Droupathy Nair was working with the Department of Atomic Energy. Fathoming through a conservative upbringing, where Television was not allowed and films were abolition, he was inspired by Richard Attenborough 'Gandhi' which was screened in his school. And what further harnessed his story telling endowments were the Amar Chitra Katha and Indrajal comics that his father used to get for him to get him in to the habit of reading. And as he grew, he ventured in all kinds of fiction and turned a voracious reader. World History was a subject he relished. Languages were another interest area. Malayalam being his mother tongue, he ventured in to other languages viz. Hindi, English, Marathi and German. After finishing his high school and pursuing an Economics degree from Mumbai University in 1991, he was obsessed with films. With growing resistance from the family and not knowing which direction to move what came as a ray of hope was his meeting with the Late Basu Bhattacharaya, who was the trustee of the college. After the degree, he passionately tried an admission with the film and Television Institute in vain. His first break came when he met Basu Bhattacharaya again and started working as an intern with him. Following Basuda's demise and his meeting with Govind Nihalani introduced him to the world of documentaries. With the film scenario at that time not being too exciting in Mumbai, he took to writing documentaries and commercials. THE CHEST, a documentary on mountain quarrying in 1996 for FILMS DIVISION earned a special mention at the Maharashtra State Awards 1996. What followed were 12 documentaries in a span of 3 years. Another documentary SLUM DIVERS OF GANGES earned a special mention at the Hongkong festival in 1997. Harnessing his dream to direct his story one day, he ventured all across India having assisted legendary film makers like Pulak Gogai, Kamal and Feroz Khan. He also assisted Imtiaz Ali for a TV series. He also worked with Zee Network for a year in 2000 writing several TV programs. His first break came when he met a German Producer Jacob Prinz. The collaboration went on to bag 2 documentaries on Palestine. He was perhaps the 1 st Indian to shoot at the Gaza Strip amidst the waging war. He was signed to write a movie 'Palestine - the day of revenge' with German literary Laureate Ludwig Watzal starring Omar Shariff. But the film got shelved following financial problems. But with documentaries being unchartered territory in Bollywood, he hit a lean patch. Following which he took to writing again. He wrote the first SINGLISH film of India 'THE AWAKENING' PRODUCED BY Paradise Pictures. He wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed Marathi movie RUNH. There were other films which he wrote for Suhail Tatari, Anil Devgan and few others which didn't materialize. In 2011 he took to production with his collaboration with CATNMOUSE ENTERTAINMENT PVT LTD. They went on to produce the film MICHAEL with Nasseruddin Shah. In 2016 he made a short film 'INDISPOSABLE CHOKER', which was acclaimed at the Kerala Film Festival. Coming from a non-film background, where all his family members had nothing to do with films, except watch it as a form of entertainment, Kashyap Chandhock forayed into the film industry with a zeal and enthusiasm second to none. His focus was to not only get creatively involved in the process of film making, but also to make a difference.
Kashyap grew in leaps and bounds and eventually, at a very young age, he enriched himself with fabulous experience in the discipline of Casting.
He was on his way to carve a niche for himself in the industry with his understanding and approach to a film and its casting. Having cast for several films, TV series, web series, music videos, etc. Kashyap began his career as a casting assistant with the prestigious Dharma productions where he helped in the casting of "Brothers" followed with "Kapoor and Sons".
Understanding the nuances of casting came naturally to Kashyap as he looked for more challenges. He went to being a Independent Casting Director with Films like "Nanu Ki Jaanu" Starring Abhay Deol & Patralekha. And Govinda's comeback Film "Fryday" Starring Govinda, Varun Sharma, Digangana Suryavanshi & Rajesh Sharma.
It was a matter of time before destiny presented Kashyap with an opportunity of trying his hand in production. Not shying from any test, Kashyap grabbed the prospect of producing a film with both hands and within no time Kashyap found himself grappling with the challenges of producing a Gujrati Film called 'Gujrat 11', starring Pratik Gandhi and Daisy Shah. Lo and Behold, he had turned Associate Producer for this Gujarati feature film.
Tasting success in the department of production, Kashyap is currently curating multiple projects as a producer.
Just recently he once again successfully headed the casting of the much talked of film 'Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh' which is helmed by the legendary Rajkumar Santoshi.
The entire journey of casting for this project was set been extremely interesting and challenging. Since it was a film that involved famous characters borrowed from history, it presented Kashyap with a unique opportunity of casting actors that resembled the historical figures and understood the significance of what they were getting into. It was an obligation that was parallel to none because it needed diving deep into the historical research of these characters before looking out for actors that could justify them, add value to such characters and bring them to life with their performance. This was an immense responsibility undoubtedly and Kashyap was up to the task as well. He suggested a fresh approach to the film with. Appreciating the latent talent in theatres, Kashyap proposed casting actors with rich theatrical experience and a body of work that cost boast of their competence to approach such characters with freshness that could infuse energy into the characters.
The result is that actors with such background are performing a bulk of characters in the film.
Kashyap's hard work will also come to fruition when this year the industry will witness a couple of his films release in the theatres. Rajkumar Santoshi's next Feature Film called 'Bad boy' will launch Mithun Chakraborty's son Namashi Chakraborty & Producer Sajid Qureshi's daughter Amrin Qureshi's.

There was a strange crossroad in the early days of life when his father laid down a condition, "you continue playing with your friends or you work in films." Ashuu loved sports and spending time with his friends. It was a near impossible choice to make. But one has to guess that he loved films over anything. So just after his tenth standard, Ashuu started working in the film industry, learning the ropes of the trade. The year was 1978! One thing that Ashuu did not stop doing was studying. He graduated as an Electronics Engineer from Bombay University, after having finished his diploma in Electronics and Radio Engineering. He graduated in 1988. By this time his exposure of the technicalities of the film industry had taught him enough to foray into making educational films for engineering students. He used animations to explain the theories of engineering where the Z-axis was simpler to visualise than imagine. He got immediate success with it. Being the only one in the country making such educational films of high quality he had got exposed him to the world of animations. Animations was an extremely expensive affair to contract out. This is where his educational background helped him. He bought animation systems to support his educational films. The only impediment was that this form of films for educational purposes was extremely cash intensive. Income was trickling in through sales. Coming from a humble background, Ashuu was quick to understand that this business model was not sustainable. He immediately diversified into making technical films for leading corporates houses. This organically led him to making advertising films, and so began his journey of making television commercials. Having produced and directed almost 350 commercials, his run into the Bollywood industry was quite accidental. N R Pachisia was making his film called Ziddi. He wanted someone to think out of the box to promote his film. A mutual friend introduced Ashuu to Mr Pachisia. Out of this association was born a first of its kind promotional campaign for Ziddi. The unique feature was that the promo was made in English although the film was in Hindi. The moment the promo hit the networks, it took the nation and the industry by storm. Ashuu was now recognised as the wiz kid of Bolywood. There was no looking back. He then promoted more than 90 films which had record openings at the box office. His success ratio was more than 90%. A producer friend's wife once joked saying, "maybe the producer's should give you some percentage of the business that the films made because of your ingenuine marketing ploys." Having come from an advertising background, Ashuu understood the significance of air time and the value or rotation of the spots on air for recall. So, not only did Ashuu pioneer the business of promos in the industry, he also gave birth to the idea of 5 second, 10 second, 20 second spots besides countdown to release dates and audience reactions to the films. The business was booming. The producers that he interacted with respected his perception of the trade and his understanding of the nuances of film making, right from scripting to final film mixing. His educational films and TVCs had given him a rich exposure to the use of computer graphics and animations. Moving on to digital titling and VFX was just a natural thing to do. Thus came the next pioneering effort of lending digital VFX and titling to an industry that was simply analog in nature. Ashuu not only did promotions of films, he was also heavily involved with the creative aspects of a full length feature films by now, along with the digital side of film making. His life took a turn when he got the opportunity to direct his first feature film called 'Deewaanapan' for Puja films. Both the lead actors won debut awards for this film. The film was also nominated for action following which Ashuu has directed a number of films. He was nominated for breakthrough director award for his film Baabarr, and best visual effects for his film Alag. His directorial film, Sheesha had a song, "Yaar ko maine..." which was nominated for best song of the year. Besides directing well accepted films, Ashuu has also produced a film based on the coal mafia of the country called Koyelaanchal. He has also written scripts for a number of his films and acted in a couple of them. He has rubbed shoulders with many legends of the business, both in front of the camera and behind to bring in the finer points of story telling. He has also found a way to share his film making experiences through his blog called film curry. He publishes his blogs once a week. Married to Samriti Trikha in 1990, Ashuu Trikha has two children, a son Anmol Trikha and a younger daughter, Akshita Trikha. He has two siblings, a brother, Sonu Trikha & a sister, Rachita Mawani.- Actress
