Put together the flying abilities of Superman, the geeky tech gadgets of Batman and the mind-reading abilities of Charles Xavier, and what do you have?
The greatest superhero of all time?
You'd have Joe Van Wie, CEO of JVW Inc.
Ok, well maybe he doesn't actually have those superpowers (give it a few years though and see what happens), but when it comes to the art of filmmaking, superhero doesn't even begin to cover what he's accomplished or what he's capable of.
Following a spirited and notorious adolescence in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Joe did at stretch a New York University and ended up spending nearly a decade in New York City as an accomplished part of the city's lively film and TV industry. During this time he racked up credits ranging from producing feature films premiering at International Film Festivals to directing and producing content for a variety of national cable television networks.
In his spare time, he enjoys poker, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, going boating and flying. Since he can't fly like Superman (yet), he's keeping himself busy by becoming becoming a private pilot.
The most influential people in his life? Personally, his mother tops the list, and professionally, it's a tie between Marlon Brando and Robert Evans.
Where does he see himself in 1 year?
Positioning JVW Inc. as one of the top film production companies in the country.
5 years?
Having made multiple successful and award-winning films.
10 years?
Retiring, having an island and a private plane while maintaining his multiple successful businesses part time and using his skill sets to be a great philanthropist. And maybe manipulating science and technology to make his superhero aspirations a reality...- Jack French was born on 16 April 1936 in Escanaba, Michigan, USA. She came from a family of Presbyterian ministers (her father and seven of her uncles) and her mother was a writer for a variety of religious magazines. She was educated at home until she reached college age, at which time she attended the Cincinnati Art School and Elmira College. After leaving college, however, she decided against embarking on a career in art and began writing. In 1892 she married a Presbyterian minister, Rev. Thomas Franklin Hill, and they had two children. However, he died in 1899 and, with two children to support, she turned to writing full-time. Given her background, it was no surprise that the main subject of her writing was religion--she wrote syndicated columns in religious magazines and also turned out a stream of novels with religious themes, averaging about three books a year. She later married again, to Flavius J. Lutz, but did not give up her career as a writer. Her novels were very popular in her field (although one critic dismissed them as "sugar-coated tracts") and she has sold upwards of 3,000,000 copies of her books. She died in Swarthmore, PA, in 1947.
