Frankie Adams is a New Zealand-Samoan actress, Best known for playing fan favorite "Bobbie Draper" in the Amazon series The Expanse, Frankie can also be seen in the limited series The Flowers of Alice Hart opposite Sigourney Weaver for Amazon as well as Taika Waititi's Next Goal Wins. Her credits include the NZ limited series The Panthers which premiered at TIFF, Peter Jackson's Mortal Engines for Universal and the lead of director Tusi Tamasese's feature One Thousand Ropes which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, the follow-up to his Samoan film The Orator, both of which were shortlisted for the Academy Awards foreign-language category from New Zealand. Al Harrington was born on 12 December 1935 in Pago Pago, Western Samoa. He was an actor, known for Forrest Gump (1994), Hawaii Five-0 (2010) and DreamKeeper (2003). He was married to Rosa. He died on 21 September 2021 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.- "High Chief" Peter Maivia, originally from Samoa, wrestled for several years in Asia and the United States. He gained his greatest fame as a fan favorite in the WWF (now WWE), taking on such heels as "Superstar" Billy Graham, Ken Patera, and Ivan Koloff. Maivia though later turned into a heel himself (at the behest of manager "Classy" Freddie Blassie) towards the end of his career. Soon after, he was diagnosed with cancer and retired from active wrestling, but was busy as a wrestling promoter in Hawaii. He died of cancer in 1982, but his legacy lives on as his grandson Dwayne Johnson, has made his name as arguably the biggest star from professional wrestling ever to successfully crossover into a sustainable Hollywood acting career.

Gary Scott Thompson is a writer, producer, and director. Among his many films and TV series: writer of "The Fast and the Furious," creator and executive producer of NBC's "Las Vegas," co-developer, writer, and executive producer of TF1 and NBC's "Taxi Brooklyn," and executive producer of NBC's reboot "Knight Rider."
Thompson grew up in Pago Pago, American Samoa, and first gained exposure to the world of entertainment as an actor, studying the craft from such notable actors as Powers Boothe at Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. He received his BA from the University of California at Irvine, and his MFA from NYU's TISCH School of the Arts. After graduation, Thompson went to work as a playwright. His theater credits include "Small Town Syndrome," "Cowboy's Don't Cry" and "Private Hells."
Other feature credits include "2 Fast 2 Furious," "Hollow Man" with Kevin Bacon, the cult classic "Split Second," and "88 Minutes," starring Al Pacino.

Lived in Hawaii & New Zealand - Sonny Schmidt was a professional bodybuilder. His birth name was Edmond Alten Schmidt. He grew up in Western Samoa. Later Sonny moved to Melbourne, Australia.
From early childhood, Sonny was fond of bodybuilding. This was the child who always knew what he would be when he grows up. But he started his competitive career quite late. As the age of 36, Sonny made his first appearance in the bodybuilding competition in 1989. He received a professional card very quickly. And since the 90s, he began to take part in professional tournaments.The best result for him was the title of champion of 1995 Masters Olympia.
Unfortunately, in 2003 he was diagnosed with cancer that has not responded to treatment. In 2004, he died at his home in Melbourne at the age of 50 years. In the last minutes he was surrounded by loving friends and relatives. Sonny remembered not only as an outstanding bodybuilder, but a truly goodhearted and just a wonderful person. - David Tua was born on 21 November 1972 in Faleatiu, Samoa. - Ah Kuoi was born in Apia, Western Samoa, in 1956 and emigrated to New Zealand in 1962 with his parents, Fred Snr and Siutu Ah Kuoi, and his two younger brothers, Peter and Afi. Brothers Andrew and Paul and sister Elizabeth were born in Auckland, New Zealand.
Paul later played for Marist Richmond, Glenora and represented Samoa. Both Peter and Andrew represented New Zealand universities in rugby league with Peter being selected into the 1976 team, while Andrew toured England and France in 1984 with the New Zealand Universities team. Fred Ah Kuoi also played for Auckland University in several university winter tournaments, but was never chosen by the national selectors.
Ah Kuoi began his career in 1973 playing for Richmond in the Auckland Rugby League competition. He was part of the Richmond side that won the championship in 1979.
Ah Kuoi moved to Sydney in 1981 to play professionally for the North Sydney Bears, then to England to join his former teammates, James Leuluai, Gary Kemble and Dane O'Hara, at Hull F.C. from 1983 to 1987.
Ah Kuoi played stand-off in Hull's 24-28 defeat by Wigan in the 1985 Challenge Cup Final during the 1984-85 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 4 May 1985, in front of a crowd of 99,801, in what is regarded as the most marvellous cup final in living memory, which Hull narrowly lost after fighting back from 12-28 down at half-time.
Ah Kuoi played stand-off in Hull's 29-12 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1984 Yorkshire County Cup Final during the 1984-85 season at Boothferry Park, Kingston upon Hull on Saturday 27 October 1984, and played stand-off in the 24-31 defeat by Castleford in the 1986 Yorkshire County Cup Final during the 1986-87 season at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 11 October 1986.
Fred Ah Kuoi played right-centre, i.e. number 3, in Hull's 0-12 defeat by Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1984-85 John Player Special Trophy Final during the 1984-85 season at Boothferry Park, Kingston upon Hull on Saturday 26 January 1985.
Debuting at home versus Hull KR on 2/10/1983 he went on to play for Hull 126 times (including 10 as sub), scoring 28 tries and 1 drop goal for 113 points. Ever versatile, in addition to his main half back role he was also able to play in most of the back positions and even as hooker when need be. In his last year with Hull, 1986 he also became assistant coach to Kenny Foulkes, before finishing his career by returning to Richmond before retiring at the end of the 1987 New Zealand season.
Ah Kuoi married his wife Margot in Sydney, Australia on 9 June 1982. Their daughter, Danielle, was born in Sydney on 3 June 1983; their son, Joshua, was born on 9 July 1985 in Hull, and their youngest daughter, Madeleine, was born in Auckland, NZ on 3 December 1988.
Ah Kuoi coached the Richmond Bulldogs from 1988 to 89, and again in 1997 and 1998. - Eroni Clarke was born on 31 March 1969 in Apia, Samoa and is a former New Zealand rugby union player who played for Auckland, the Blues, the Highlanders and the All Blacks at international level. Clarke made 155 appearances for Auckland making him the fifth (equal with Sean Fitzpatrick) most capped player in the union's history. He also scored 73 tries for Auckland, the fourth most in the union's history. Clarke also made 48 appearances for the Auckland Blues at Super 12 level and made fourteen total appearances (ten test matches) for New Zealand, making his international debut in 1992.
In August 2020 Clarke he was appointed New Zealand Rugby's first Pasifika Engagement Manager.
Eroni Clarke's sister is former Silver Fern Sheryl Clarke.
