Although he never went beyond secondary school, Aaron Russo became a millionaire in show business. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1943, he worked in his family's business and later managed the Chicago nightclub, the Kinetic Playground, from 1968 to 1973 (with a long hiatus due to a fire). There he booked The Doors, The Who, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and other popular bands of the day. For a while, Russo managed the careers of The Manhattan Transfer and Bette Midler. In 1979, he produced "The Rose" which gave Midler her first starring role. After producing a string of films and directing "Rude Awakening." Russo turned to blending politics with entertainment. He tried to sell a pilot for a television show called "Aaron Russo's Mad As Hell" in the early 1990s. When he was unsuccessful in selling the program to networks, he began selling the pilot as a video in 1996. In 1994 he tried to start a political party called the Constitution Party. In 1998, however, he ran for the Republican party nomination for governor of the state of Nevada but lost. In 2004, he ran for the Libertarian party's nomination for president, losing 423 to 344 on the third ballot.He nevertheless offered to produce the winning candidate's campaign ads. His final film was a documentary that he produced, wrote and directed, entitled "America: Freedom to Fascism" (2006). He died from bladder cancer in Los Angeles, California in 2007.- Music Department

Adam Hart-Davis was educated at the prestigious Eton College. At school he excelled in physics, chemistry and mathematics. He achieved a first class Masters degree in chemistry at Oxford University and then took a PhD in organometallic chemistry at York University. He spent five years publishing science books for the Oxford University Press. Alain Corneau was a Cesar Award-winning French writer-director best known for his multiple collaborations with French cinema superstars Yves Montand, Simone Signoret and Gérard Depardieu. Born on August 7, 1943 in Meung-sur-Loire, Loiret, Corneay trained as a musician but switched his interest to film, becoming an assistant director.
He was an assistant director on Costa-Gavras's 1970 film The Confession (1970) ("The Confession"), which co-starred Montand and Signoret. In 1974 he made the transition to the director's chair, helming France société anonyme (1974), a movie about drug dealers. His next policier starred Montand as a a Dirty Harry-like dick in Police Python 357 (1976) (1976), which co-starred Montand's wife Signoret. He followed it up with another crime drama starring Montand, La Menace (1977) (1977). Corneau finished up his crime cycle with Choice of Arms (1981) (1981), which starred Montand, Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve. The movie was released in the United States as "Choice of Arms."
Shifting gears away from policiers, he directed the French Foreign Legion drama 'Fort Saganne (1984)' (1984). Set in 1911, the movie starred Depardieu and Deneuve. Depardieu also headlined his lush costume drama _Tous les matins du monde (1991)- (1991), an international hit, for which Corneau won the Cesar Award, the French equivalent of the Oscar, for direction.
