- Agneta Anna Karin Mossberg was born in a small town called Linkoping, Ostergotland, Sweden. Her father, Eije Mossberg, was an influential businessman and politician.
In the early 1960s, the tall, pretty blonde was discovered by F.C. Gundlach, a German fashion photographer, for whom she did extensive photo shoots in Rome, Paris, London, Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa.
She had a soft spot for Spain, especially Madrid, and relocated there for a while. Barely 18 years old, Karin landed her first small part in a Spanish movie, The Uninhibited (1965), which co-starred Melina Mercouri and James Mason. The year after, she played the female lead in another Spanish production, Rafael Gil's drama La vida nueva de Pedrito de Andía (1965). The movie wasn't a big success, and neither the critics nor the public were too fond of Karin's acting skills.
Shortly after, while living in Mexico City, she was put under contract by Warner Bros. and got immediately cast alongside Lana Turner in the psychedelic thriller The Big Cube (1968) which excessively flopped but gained some sort of cult following over the years.
By 1969, Karin's momentum as a model and actress had already surpassed its high peak and she retired from the limelight. As of 2022, little is known about the whereabouts of this pretty lady. - Michael Hirsch was born on 1 January 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. John Turner was born in Bristol in 1947 and educated at Cotham Grammar School. After leaving school aged sixteen, he was a musician in France and Germany; had a short spell as a Sapper in the army; but was rather more successful selling vacuum-cleaners door to door.
He later managed The Troubadour folk club in Clifton, Bristol, became a session musician (bass) on several records produced locally, and was a founder member of The Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra. During a stint as a travelling Guitar teacher, he met his future wife, Pat Vedmore, who taught at one of the schools he visited.
His BBC career began in 1974, when he composed the music for a TV series, The Age of Innocence, and during the seventies he also presented a folk music programme for BBC Radio Bristol. This began a lifelong fascination with local radio, which encouraged him to learn the techniques of interviewing and presenting, and led to him taking over the mid-morning programme, Compass. This included the highly popular phone-in section, Person to Person, during which he would play devil's advocate to a succession of callers.
He presented Compass for many years, often with a co-presenter, such as Jenni Mills and Polly Lloyd, but a change in Radio Bristol's management in the 2000s, led to him being moved to present the Breakfast show, with which he never seemed to be entirely comfortable. In 2007, aged 60, he decided to retire from broadcasting and spent much of his increased leisure time with trips to France, one of his favourite countries.- Aleksei Pankin was born on 2 January 1947 in Rastorguyevo, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Vidnoye, Russia].
