Steve Carlesi began his career with the band "Foundry" in the mid 90s. From there, he went on to work at WNEW 102.7 in New York City, and by the late 90s was teamed up with Opie & Anthony on WNEW, where he helped out with show production and maintained their unofficial website. Steve continued to work with O&A until their firing in 2002, and then rejoined the show as a producer when O&A were hired by XM Satellite Radio in 2004. He climbed the ranks to become the executive producer of the popular radio show, birthing the popular sound byte used frequently by the show, "and that's how you executive produce," Steve was also known for his hybrid car, wearing clothing with flames, and just his distinctive radio voice. He was let go by the O&A radio show after the Sirius/XM merger due to reported downsizing/cutbacks.
Some would say that life has been a bear for Steve, but his response is simply to growl "Grrrrrrrr" and move on to another picnic basket.
