As an actor, talk show host, producer, author and fashion entrepreneur, Isabella Wall has emerged as a key figure among the young generation of women in the Latino community in the United States. Her acting credits include ER, Nip/Tuck and Days Of Our Lives.
Dubbed "The Fairy Godmother of Quinceañeras" by the Latin media. She has advised, MTV, TEEN magazine and the Sundance Festival winning movie, Quinceanera. Recently Isabella was the expert advisor for Walt Disney World's "Quinceañera, a dream come true" the first ever all Spanish event held by Disney, honoring 15 Quinceaneras from across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Isabella is the author of the biography of Porfirio Rubirosa and is currently in pr-producing of a documentary based on the life of this famous Dominican socialite, known as the "Caribbean Casanova" and who was married to American million heiresses Doris Duke and Barbara Hutton.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Isabella started her career as a teen model. Representing the country in numerous international events. Upon arriving in the USA immediately started modeling for top designers on New York's 7th Avenue and in national commercial spots in English and Spanish as well as host of her own syndicated talk show, "Musical explosion". She was an Unforgettable Woman of Revlon, alongside Cindy Crawford and Whoopi Goldberg.
Her non for profit organization Someone Cares International, collects toys, school supplies, medicines, clothes and funds to benefit the under privileged children of rural areas of the Dominican Republic.They also have "Mission Laughs" and "Bowlarama", annual Thanksgiving and Christmas fund raisers. A native Detroiter, Lydia moved to Los Angeles in 1972 to pursue her dream of acting. She was recruited by Paramount Studios to participate in their Performing Arts Program for People with Disabilities.
This led to the stage play "Critical Mass", where Lydia had a lead role and several parts in movies and TV. She also worked in music videos among those included Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield. In 1980, Lydia had a main role in "Under the Rainbow" which led to working with George Lucas in 1982 on the blockbuster movie "Return of the Jedi" playing an Ewok named "Wunka."
Lydia was an original member of the Improv Group "R.T.D. Conspiracy," performing at Studio City Improv Company, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store. She also worked on several movies doing off camera lines for children.
She returned to Detroit in 1986 to be with her family and worked as a V. P. of Servicing in a Mortgage Company. Lydia became active working with Disability related issues where she served as Chairperson of the Michigan Governor's Commission until 2005. Lydia was a member of North West Airlines Advisory Board for travelers with disabilities 2006-2009.
