- Gorgeous and beguiling brunette knockout Maria De Aragon was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Maria began her acting career with small roles in the movies "For Those Who Think Young," "Nightmare in the Sun," and "Come L'Amore." De Aragon carved out a nifty little niche portraying dangerous, but irresistible femme fatale types in several deliciously down'n'dirty 70's drive-in exploitation features: she's faithless husband Peter Carpenter's enticing young mistress Nanette in the tawdry "Love Me Like I Do;" at her all-time bitchy best as wicked and conniving sex-crazed nymphomaniac Victoria Waterman in the splendidly sleazy "Blood Mania," and one of the titular lethal ladies in the hugely enjoyable "Wonder Women." Maria had a change of pace good girl part as fetching love interest heroine Jeanne in the laughably lousy cheapie science fiction clunker "The Cremators." De Aragon achieved her greatest enduring cult popularity with her brief, but memorable appearance as would-be alien assassin Greedo in "Star Wars." Her last film role to date was as a French proprietor in the gritty urban action opus "Street Wars." In addition to her movie credits, Maria has also appeared in the stage productions "Bernie's Troupe," "Claim It," and "The Dancer." Maria De Aragon passed away while residing in the CHSLD Nicolet nursing home in her native Montreal.

Paul Auster was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 3rd 1947. His father was a landlord, who owned buildings with his brothers in Jersey City. The family was middle-class and the parents' marriage was not a happy one. Auster grew up in the Newark suburbs of South Orange and Maplewood. He read books enthusiastically and developed an interest for writing.
Auster attended high school in Maplewood, some twenty miles southwest of New York City. After his parents' divorce, during his senior year in high school, his mother moved, with his sister and him, to an apartment in the Weequahic section of Newark. Instead of attending his high-school graduation, Auster headed for Europe. He visited Italy, Spain, Paris and naturally James Joyce's Dublin. While he travelled he worked on a novel.
He returned to the United States in time to start at Columbia University in the fall. In early 1966 he began his relationship with Lydia Davis. Davis, who is now also a writer, was at that time attending Barnard College and was a good match for Auster's intellect. In 1967 Auster again left the US to attend Columbia's Junior Year Abroad in Paris. Auster became disillusioned with the dull existence within the programme and quit college. But he was still reinstated at Columbia when he returned to New York.
Auster's undergraduate years at Columbia coincided with a period of social unrest but he didn't participate actively in student politics. He supported himself with a variety of freelance jobs and wrote articles for university magazines. In June of 1969 Auster was granted a B.A. in English and comparative literature. The following year he received his M.A. from Columbia.
A high lottery number saved Auster from having to worry about the Vietnam draft and he took a job with the Census Bureau. During this period he also began work on the novels "In the Country of Last Things" and "Moon Palace", which he would not complete until many years later. In February 1971 Auster left once again for Paris. He supported himself there with a variety of odd jobs and minor literary tasks. He also worked on several film projects, one of them being in Mexico. In 1973 he moved with Davis to Provence where they became caretakers of a farmhouse.
After returning to the US in 1974, Auster has written poems, essays, novels, screenplays and translations. He directed his first motion picture in 1995. He lives in Brooklyn, New York City with his wife and two children.- Actor

Some actors were born in a trunk. Al Hubbs was born in the caboose of the Canadian National Railway near the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. That makes him a railroad brat and he has been traveling ever since. Somewhere along the way he was introduced to drama by one of his teachers and he was hooked. High school plays in Toronto, local talent nights, amateur theater and stage productions became his consuming passion. He gave up the security of a steady job to pursue a life long desire of becomming a night club comedian. With a wife and seven months old baby, he moved to the City of Detroit to follow that dream. All it took was seven years, but he soon opened show for people like Tony Bennett, or Lena Horne and then spent ten years traveling the U.S. and Canada with singer Al Martino. From comedy, the step to film and television was a very short one. During the next twenty-five years his career expanded to include film and TV commercial work in Toronto, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Relocating to Orlando in 1985 he began writing scripts for the University of Central Florida, local video production companies, and teaching the craft of film acting. Joining the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association he rose through the ranks to be Chapter President and finally Florida State President.
A SAG actor since 1971, he served nine years as Detroit Branch President, three years on the Hollywood Board and the last eighteen years as a trustee to the SAG Pension and Health Plans out of Burbank, California. Al still works as a comedy speaker at corporate banquets and conventions, as a film and television actor in Orlando and Miami, and continues to teach. His professional career spans forty years and shows no sign of slowing down.- Gary Floyd was born in the USA.
