Ever since actress Linda Schrader, who adapted a stage name, Nikki Strange burst onto the independent film scene in her debut movie Night of the Dolls, she has steadily built up a loyal fan base that continues to grow with each new film.
An aspiring photographer from Winamac Indiana; Nikki had never acted in a movie before, when she was approached by friend and director Daniel Murphy. When Murphy, who heads HM&M Films needed an actress who was tough and didn't take any crap, he knew just who to call. And in the spring of 2013 Nikki was cast as the wise-cracking, tough-talking Bass player Lydia in the all female band The Lolita Dolls portrayed in the film.
Wanting to make the "movie" band look as authentic as possible, Nikki jumped at the chance to take some Bass lessons courtesy of Night of the Dolls screenwriter Tom Komisar.
Filmed through out the summer and fall of 2013, the film gave the budding actress a chance to hone her acting chops alongside fellow Lolita Dolls, Emily Rhodes, Bryer Sage and Cassie Smith. Upon the films release in 2014, it wasn't long before she was offered her next role; a role that would put her acting skills to the test and challenge her to rise to a new level...Dane Granger.
Dane Granger is the film adaptation of the debut novel by Stephanie Hensley. This would also be Ms. Hensley's directorial debut. Filming an adaptation of a story that personal meant finding just the right actors. And Stephanie found the perfect team. Co-starring Frankie McKay in the title role of Dane, Nikki was cast to play a role that was just as important; that of Dane's soul mate, Grace Harper.
Nikki's next role would demonstrate a new found confidence and fearlessness. Something that she would definitely need to portray the promiscuous vixen Kayla in HM&M Films exploitation sleaze fest House of Whores. This wild home invasion tale of three homicidal nutcases wearing clown masks would push Nikki and her two cast mates, Lindsey McIntire and Maella Cai Vane to levels many actresses would refuse to even consider. But they did; and House of Whores is set to take its place in cult movie infamy, along with House of Whores 2: The Second Cumming, thanks to them.
Nikki is constantly expanding her options and spreading her wings as an actress and performer. She was also cast as Matilda, in William Lee's Bad Fellaz as well as Vanessa in Nightblade, a Los Bastardz film and Chloe in a segment for American Horror X, written and directed by film maker Daniel Emery Taylor , Debtor Entertainment's newest film! She will also be seen in HM&M Films newest addition, SkullButcher.
The sky is the limit for this very talented and lovable actress. And when she's hanging out at home with her cat Mittens, you can bet she has a stack of new scripts in front of her that she's eagerly reading. Keep an eye out for Nikki Strange...coming soon, to a theatre near you.- Mark Robert Gordon is best known for his acting roles on the Guiding Light (1952), New York and regional theaters, and several national TV commercials, as well as for his work as a stage director, playwright, and producer, and as a print model in several national ad campaigns, including for Guess and Biscom.
