Howard A. Rodman is a screenwriter, novelist, and educator. He is a past President of the Writers Guild of America, West; a Vice President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; professor and former chair of the writing division at the USC School of Cinematic Arts; an artistic director of the Sundance Institute Screenwriting Labs; and a fellow of the Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities. His films include Joe Gould's Secret; Savage Grace, starring Julianne Moore, - official selection Cannes Film Festival in 2007; and August, with Josh Hartnett, Rip Torn, and David Bowie.- As National Executive Director of the DGA, Jay D. Roth is responsible for the daily management and oversight of all the Guild's activities, services, and operations, for the 16,500 DGA members who work in film, television, commercials, documentaries, news, sports, new media and other audiovisual genres, and live both in the United States and abroad. Prior to his position at the DGA, he was Managing Partner at Taylor, Roth, Bush & Geffner, where he spent 25 years representing the entertainment industry guilds and labor organizations. Mr. Roth has been involved in the Franco-American Cultural Fund since its inception, first as the lawyer who represented and negotiated the creation of the Fund on behalf of the DGA and WGAW, and then as a founding DGA Board Member. In 2009, President Sarkozy of France named Mr. Roth a recipient of the French Legion of Honor.

A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and the ESSEC business school, Jean-Noël Tronc worked for the European Parliament, Andersen Consulting and France's Centre for Strategic Planning before being appointed IT and Internet Advisor to France's Prime Minister from 1997 to 2002. After five years with France Telecom/Orange (2002-2007), in charge of the brand's strategy before becoming CEO of Orange France, he spent three years as Chairman and CEO of Canal+ Overseas, which runs the Canal+ Group's pay-TV business in French overseas territories and internationally, before joining SACEM as CEO in June 2012. He is also Vice-President of GESAC (European association of authors' societies).- Matters pertaining to the management of the repertoire, rights distribution, and services to members are the responsibility of Louis Diringer. A graduate of the Institut de Musicologie (advanced studies) and Strasbourg Law School (commercial law), Louis Diringer joined SACEM in 1980. He has worked in two of the society's major operational sections: firstly, in rights collection - as a regional delegate and then Head of the Licences Department; and secondly, from 1995 to 2012, in authors' rights distribution - as Director of the Documentation and Distribution Department.

As a director, screenwriter, and producer, four-time Academy Award nominee Michael Mann has established himself as one of the most innovative and influential filmmakers in American cinema. After writing and directing the Primetime Emmy Award-winning television movie The Jericho Mile (1979), Mann made his feature-film directorial debut with Thief (1981), followed by executive producing the television series Miami Vice (1984). He went on to direct Manhunter (1986), The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Heat (1995), and The Insider (1999), Ali (2001), Collateral (2004), a film adaptation of Miami Vice (2006), Public Enemies (2009), and Blackhat (2015).
As a producer, Mann's work includes Martin Scorsese's The Aviator (2004), Hancock (2008), Texas Killing Fields (2011), and the HBO series Luck (2011) and Witness (2012). He has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 1977 and has served on the DGA's National Board.- Stan McCoy is the President and Managing Director of the region encompassing Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) for the Motion Picture Association (MPA). As a specialist in intellectual property and innovation policy, Stan's key responsibility is to work with partners across the region to promote policies and enforcement practices that help the region to enjoy the jobs, growth, and cultural dividends of a vibrant creative sector. Stan joined the MPA in April 2014 as Senior Vice President & Regional Policy Director following over a decade of government service. He became President and Managing Director on 1 January 2015.

In addition to helming the iconic feature hits An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), Against All Odds (1984), Ray (2004), and the cult thriller The Devil's Advocate (1997), Taylor Hackford has directed the films Dolores Claiborne (1995), Everybody's All-American (1988), and Proof of Life (2000). Taylor developed and produced La Bamba (1987), the most successful Latin-themed feature film in history. Mr. Hackford has been an active member of the Directors Guild of America for over 40 years, including twice as elected President of the DGA, beginning in 2009.
