She played opposite James Purefoy in the Amazon series, "Mexico City" directed by Jaime Reynoso (The Purge TV Series Season 2) and Humberto Hinojosa (I Hate Love, Road to Mars). In 2015, Sofia starred in the first International Netflix Original TV series, "Club de Cuervos". Acclaimed Mexican director Manolo Caro wrote Sofia a character in the Netflix Original hit comedy series "House of Flowers" (La Casa de las Flores) and she did a remarkable performance in HBO's "Sr. Ávila". Sofia also played the female lead of "Serena" in the Spanish Language remake of "Gossip Girl: Acapulco", produced as an international collaboration between the Mexican production company El Mall and Warner Brothers International Television.
Some of Sofia's film credits also include starring in independent films such as "Donde los Pájaros Van a Morir" by Analeine Cal y Mayor, "Compulsion" directed by Batan Silva, "Ladronas de Almas" by Juan Antonio de la Riva, "The Days I Lost" by Samuel Ríos, as well as Disney's "Bacalar" directed by Patricia Arriaga and "El Gringo" starring Christian Slater. Sofia also played supporting roles in "Elysium" starring Matt Damon, "Tales of an Immoral Couple" starring Paz Vega and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, "Don't Blame the Kid" starring Karla Souza, "Get the Gringo" starring Mel Gibson, "Sundown" starring Camilla Belle and Teri Hatcher and "Treading Water" starring Carrie Ann Moss and Zoe Kravitz.
Sofia is a graduate of The Stella Adler Studio's 3-year Theater Conservatory in New York. She enjoys doing classical theater. In recent years she played the lead role of Viola in Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" and the lead role of Doña Inés in Zorilla's "Don Juan", both acclaimed productions in Mexico. José Solórzano Híjar was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.
He obtained a bachelor's degree in communication with a specialty in cinema in 2014 at the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City). After finishing his bachelor's degree, he continued his career in filmmaking working for several years in many different types of productions in the Mexican film & television industries as a First Assistant Director, ranging from feature films & television series to advertising & music videos.
He has directed/produced/written several short films in his career in both English and his native Spanish, and his work has been part of the official selections of several international film festivals around the world. He was also one of the recipients of the grant "Apoyo para Jóvenes Creadores (Support for Young Creators)" in the category of Screenwriting for Film awarded by the Department of Culture (FONCA) of the Mexican Govt.

He was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. He studied Communication Sciences at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. He has a master's degree in Meso American Studies from the UNAM.
He filmed a documentary trilogy of the Mexican Revolution consisting on the films Los Últimos zapatistas (The Last Zapatistas, 2002), Pancho Villa, la Revolución no ha terminado (Pancho Villa, The Revolution is Not Over, 2006) and 13 Pueblos en defensa del agua, el aire y la tierra (13 Pueblos Defending Water, Air and Land, 2009). Winner of several international awards, his cinematic proposal consists of conciliating the social and militant message with the aesthetics of dignity, a concept he has put into practice in his films. A linguistic rights activist for native people, the Mexican cinema critic Jorge Ayala Blanco in "La Justeza del cine mexicano", points out that "Francesco Taboada has become our greatest revolutionist historic filmmaker".
Tin Tan (2010) honors the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema through the great comedian Germán Valdés. His award winner film Maguey (2014), tells the story of indigenous communities fighting for their culture and natural resources.

Jose Rodriguez is a film editor and director born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico in 1984. He showed interest in filmmaking since he was in High School. He wanted to become a 3D Animator or Visual Effects Artist. Since no university offered a program in animation in his home town he decided to earn a degree in Engineering in Computer Systems. During his Junior year in college he went as an exchange student to The University of New Mexico where he found out a program called Media Arts focusing in different areas of filmmaking such as Directing, Writing, Producing and Production Design. The program caught his attention and he started developing an interest in Directing and Producing. When he returned to Mexico in his spare time he started looking for a Film School to pursue a Master's Degree. He found out that The USC School of Cinematic Arts was the most prestigious of all. He applied and was in shock when he found out he was admitted. As many of his class he wanted to become a Director and decided to learn more by taking classes in Editing, Cinematography and Producing. That's when he developed a passion for Editing.
