Bernhard Jasper is a German cinematographer and director, born 1972. At the age of 23 he had several short films made and finally passed the entrance test of the Filmacademy Ludwigsburg (Germany) where he studied directing and cinematography. During the academy he specialized himself in cinematography and became the opportunity to work in the real film business. He shot a lot of commercials and music clips for famous music acts and companies. After his final degree in 2001 he shot his first TV movie. Since then he shot 19 TV Features and 24 Movies, most of which are among the most successful German box office films. He also shot the international movies "Open water 2" and "Life above all" who made it into the Oscar shortlist 2011. For both seasons of the first German Amazon series "You Are Wanted" (2017-2019), Bernhard was not only responsible for the cinematography, but also for the directing. In 2021 he did the cinematography for Zach Snyders "Army of thieves", directed and starred by Matthias Schweighöfer, the 5th most seen Netflix movie that year. He's currently working on a new Netflix movie called "Lift" starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Kevin Hart, directed by F.
