Lagoni had a sinister and stern look about him - a trait he used successfully in ca. 80 silent films. Nordisk Film hired him in 1909 and he was one of the first Sherlock Holmes in films (1910-11), but mostly appeared in dour character parts.
In his very thin book of memoirs, he did not mention one word about his extensive film career.

Mrs.Danning also appeared in a few Norwegian silent movies, before moving to Denmark with her Danish husband, composer Christian Danning around 1914.
