GUNKWORLD is also a love letter to Japanese media, seen from the eyes of a child growing up in Singapore during the 90s.

Initially reluctant to get involved, Ching joins in solely on the consideration that Lo's sister, an illegal immigrant, needs the money for living expenses. But before long, it emerges that Ling and Hung do not trust each other with the diamonds either, and Ching finds herself trapped in the middle of an escalating rivalry.
