- Two Jewish boys escape from a train transporting them from one concentration camp to another. The film goes beyond the themes of war and anti-Nazism and concerns itself with man's struggle to preserve human dignity.

- This project seeks to follow up on the highest tradition of Czech montage documentaries focusing on popular Czech acting greats. An intimate, entertaining, and perhaps even controversial approach using a stylized 'documentary drama' form. The first and most important level of the film is made up of images from films and television productions. In addition to the footage selected from legendary pieces, there are also special unexpected bits. What is important here is Mr. Brodský's personal relationship to individual films, roles and scenes. Surprising details, explanations and ironic notes are the glue and spice of this montage composition.
- Little Lojzík, whose mother was struck and killed by lightening, lives on a farm with his father and their old manservant. He perceives the raw surrounding world as images promising him his mother's lost embrace. The young boy searches in vain for someone out of all those near him to connect with. He can't get support and security from his father, from his mother's sister, nor even from his stepmother who, at least at the beginning, sympathized with his troubles. The only one, in fact, with whom Lojzík can share his lonely fate as an abandoned young one is an ordinary chicken.

- Robert works for a travel agency and helps to arrange scenes from the everyday lives of "ordinary" Czech families as an attraction for Japanese tourists. He also works as a kind of matchmaker and occasionally helps to put together some of his friends. He helps to separate his friend Hanka from Peter, an announcer for an independent radio station who tries to capture "real" life by recording the moments from "reality" and playing them over the air. Vesna, came to Prague from Macedonia because it is according to her the best place for UFOs to land, but her real reason for coming is somewhat different... Hanka is followed by the crazy Ondrej, until then a respected brain surgeon, and married with two kids. Through him she meets Jacob, who uses copious amounts of weed in order to be constructive in this gloomy world. - Vladimír Michálek's fourth feature based on a book by Jáchym Topol (who had a hand in writing the script). This film about a drug dealer named Mikes (Jan Cechticky), who lives in Prague and longs to escape his own clichéd life, excels for its raw atmosphere and expressive acting. The movie was shot digitally and then transferred to film, and this became its main artistic attribute.

He is not allowed to exhibit and has been pushed to the sidelines of interest and lucrative commissions. He and his ceramicist wife (Eva Holubová) and two sons live in a small apartment on the outskirts of Prague. Míla Brecka (Jaroslav Dusek), the school principal, and his family stand in stark contrast to the Máras. Comrade Míla and his ambitious wife (Vilma Cibulková), Bedrich's fellow student from the Academy, have gone with the socialist flow for years. They find justification for their behavior in the usual words: 'Someones got to swim along with them to make things better; someones got to make that sacrifice!'

- Ice hockey is a Czech national obsession, and the country's victory over Russia in the 1969 World Championships, the year following the Soviet invasion, is a celebrated moment in its history. In Marek Najbrt's black comedy, the heroic exploits take place only on a black and white tv screen as a group of representative misfits gather and watch the game in a desolate village on the Czech border. Fuelled by the prophetic visions of an alcoholic, the self-obsessed fans - the owner of a failed pub; a bigoted invalid, Jarda; the neurotic Pavel; Josef (who hopes his father wasn't a Roma); and the bus driver who provides their only link with the outside world - follow a much less successful course than the national team. Alongside them are Zdena, the publican's wife, who hopes for a better life, and a local Sudeten German, who was dispossessed following the war. While consisting of recognisable types, Najbrt's bleak portrait reveals a world of alcoholism, debt, racism, bigotry, and infidelity that trails behind the dreams of nationalism and bears little resemblance to the fantasies of the new consumerism. A clever and multi-levelled film, it provides a sharp antidote to the reconciliatory charms of the conventional Czech comedy.

Petr's boss (Karel Hermánek) prefers a shop window mannequin to his own vivacious wife, the neighbors enjoy sex only if someone is watching them, and Petr has such lovely eyes...
