- Dhawan is the Principal of a science college in Bombay. He has a questionable past, as his actions had led to the sudden suicide of a young woman who was the victim of a raging by senior students. He punishes them, but this results in the disfigurement and death of Alok. Not wanting to create another scandal and tarnish his record, Dhawan informs the police that Alok's death was an accident. Folliowing this, members from the mobile group start getting brutally killed one by one. Evidence gathered by Inspector Choudhry leads him to conclude that the killer could be Ravi, Suman, members of the Rampuri group, or the Principal himself. Then Dhawan himself gets killed. Given the evidence he arrests the son of MLA Malhotra and holds him for trial. He also manages to get a confession. Then the next day three more of the mobile group members are killed - and no one is sure anymore who the killer actually is.

- Thakur Dhanpath lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small village in India with his wife, two daughters, and two sons, one of whom is a hunchback named Ranga. Dhanpath also has a younger brother, Narpath, but they don't get along; it's so bad that Narparth takes over the estate and throws Dhanpath and his family out of the house. Forced to live in destitution, Dhanpath encourages the village folks to speak out against Narpath's oppression. As a result Narpath and four other men kill Dhanpath and his wife, molest and kill his preteen daughter, and torture and kill her sister and brother; Ranga manages to escape, and a young girl named Ganga helps him hide out in a cave. Years later, Ranga and Ganga have grown up and acquired magical powers bestowed on them by Bhagwan Shri Hanuman and Devi Maa Kali. They set out to hunt the killers down--only to find that they themselves must fight each other, as Ranga is unable to fight his very own uncle and now-grown-up cousin, Police Inspector Trilok.

Gopal claims his innocence, but the Police state that they have evidence, his gold medal, which was found next to the dead body. While being transported to jail, Gopal manages to escape, and is aided by a truck driver, Ganga Singh, and his sister, Manju. Eventually both Manju and Gopal fall in love with each other while on the run from both the police and a powerful goon named Gangaram, who wants Gopal dead at any and costs. Gopal encounters an assortment of characters, and finds out he cannot really trust anyone as no one is who they claim to be.
- Vijay Kumar Singh lives in a big apartment building with his parents. He and his three male friends are thrilled and intrigued by the arrival of a new family in their neighborhood, especially by a young and attractive Shoma Kapoor. To add to this, she also gets admitted in the same college as they, and all four males attempt to romance her in their own way - and each one believes that he has succeeded. Rumours abound, and Shoma's mom comes to know about them, resulting in Shoma having a open and public forthright talk with alleged suitors. Humiliated and dejected, the three plot to avenge this, and meet with a gangster named Mohan Seth, who they hire to rape and assault Shoma during the ensuing Navratri Festival. But when Shoma extends her hand in friendship, and admits her love for Vijay - they quickly try to contact Mohan and cancel the contract. But Mohan wants to have his way with Shoma at any cost - and he refuses to take any instructions from the three young friends. Fisticuffs follow, Vijay also gets involved, Mohan is beaten and believed to be dead. The friends hide his body in an abandoned garage and agree to dispose it off early next morning. The next morning they arrive at the location and find that the body is missing. A few days later, Mohan's dead body is found and the police come across evidence that the crime was committed by four males and a female. Vijay, Shoma, Rajan, and their two friends are arrested and held in prison. With the odds stacked against them - the four may face life in prison - unless a miracle takes place - which seems very unlikely.
- Orphaned Roshni lives a poor-lifestyle with her maternal uncle, Gulal, and his wife, and they do Nautanki (singing and dancing) from village to village for a living. - When a group of gangsters get together and commit a series of heinous crimes, they leave a large number of victims orphaned, widowed, and destitute. No witness is able to come forward, and the police are unable to apprehend them. Then, one by one these very gangsters start to die violent deaths. Police Inspector Devraj is assigned to investigate these killings, and after an investigation be begins to suspect a young man by the name of Vicky. They spend several days in absolute bliss, intimacy, and harmony, only taking breaks to eat some food. Then Rajan has to go away on business for about a week - out of town. Weeks pass by and Rajan does not return. Then Ragini finds out that her jewelery is missing. A visit to the bank shows that her bank account has been cleaned out, and all her investments cashed. Rajan's co-workers and Manager have filed a police complaint against him for embezzling cash. But Ragini continues to believe that this is all part of a big misunderstanding, and that Rajan will return and clarify everything. But will Rajan ever return. that is if he is still alive?
- Rahul works as a Manager with a Hotel that was formerly owned by Bajaj, but after his suicide, Prem purchases the hotel and moves in along with his newly-wed wife, Anjali, and sister, Pooja, who is in love with Rahul. Now Mala can only turn to her Vijay and her father for help - but will they be willing to assist her after all that has happened?

A terrified K.K. seeks protection with underworld Don, Nagra, who eventually ends up killing K.K. in order to escape from the wrath of Ram, who is now knows as Ramabhai. That done, Ram decides to marry Pooja and they settle down in a far-off place. Soon Pooja gets pregnant, much to their joy. But then the past comes to re-visit them in the shape and form of CBI Inspector Rajpal Singh, Jaspal brother, and Pooja's paternal uncle, who has been assigned the task of apprehending Nagra. It is here that Ram finds out that K.K. is still alive, and his death was a scam. Enraged, Ram anger knows no bounds and he must again embark on a killing spree - this time to kill both Nagra and K.K. - knowing fully well that Rajpal Singh is hot on his trail as well.

Myna looks after her mom-in-law, whose health starts to improve so much so that she begins to walk around. What Mrs. Purohit does not know is that Myna is a prostitute, hired by Raj, to play the role of his wife until his mom passes away, leaving the entire estate to him; neither does she know that Renu is lured to become a prostitute herself by a half-brother of Myna. It looks like Raj has succeeded in creating an early death for his mom, who may not survive this dual shock of her daughter and daughter-in-law being prostitutes.

- Jankiraman alias Johny is a hoodlum, known to the local police, has been arrested several times, and lives a poor lifestyle in a city in South India along with his widowed mom. His mother and father had a love marriage, but he died a violent death. She kept her Mangalsutra around his photo frame. Once she talked to a parrot astrologer, who predicted great things in Janikiraman's life, as he will soon be associating with rich people, as well as getting married to a very wealthy girl. These predictions come true when Jankiraman introduces her to Sandhya Anand, a pretty young woman, who even comes to visit and eat at their humble dwelling. Shortly thereafter Jankiraman's life spirals out of control as his mother passes away, and he gets into a confrontation with a hoodlum named Sadhaa - and it is during this confrontation that will lead to even more changes in his life.

They must find out what Yamraj's involvement is that has brought him under the scrutiny of the police, and if not, who is behind the conspiracy of framing him.
- Indian Army Captain Vikram Masoom lives a wealthy lifestyle along with his wife, Rohini, and school-going daughter, Mohini. One day he witnesses an unknown man who a tattoo on the back of his hand leaving their bedroom, and immediately suspects his wife of having an affair. Rohini denies this, but Vikram does not believe her, and she leaves to go live elsewhere, leaving Vikram to bring up Mohini on his own. Years later Mohini has grown up, has learned self-defense and is enrolled in the local college where she meets and falls in love with fellow-student, Rahul. What Mohini does not know is that Rahul is not who he claims to be but has been recruited, by her dad's enemies,to seduce and eventually abduct her. The past will be re-visited when Vikram goes to rescue his daughter and also meet with the man with the tattoo he saw leaving their bedroom years ago.
- Deputy Commissioner of Police single-handedly arrests a notorious gangster by the name of Jabbar, only to find out that Jabbar has used his political connections and got off prison without being charged for any offense. Years later, Ram's brother, Rahul, is in love with a young woman named Ayesha, and both would like to get married. Ram goes to meet with Ayesha's dad, Jwala Prasad, and when he does so, recognizes him as the man who killed one Navinkumar. Ram threatens to expose Jwala, and has him arrested. What Ram does not know that Jwala is just another alias for Jabbar - the man who had killed his son years ago - and now Jabbar is all set to kill Ram and the rest of his family as well.
- Anuradha Mehta lives a poor lifestyle in a small town in Southern India with her widowed father. She would like to study in the city but is unable to travel alone. When Vimal Raj, their neighbor, offers to travel with her, her father permits her to do. While Vimal goes to look for employment, he leaves her with his prospective employer, who sexually molests her after drugging her cold-drink. When this news reaches her father, he kills himself, and a shocked Anuradha blames Vimal for her predicament. Alone, she is unable to fend for herself, and becomes a prostitute in a brothel. This is where one of the patrons, Kochukunju James befriends her, gets intimate with her, even offers to marry her, to which she agrees, and pays the brothel Madame a lot of money to release her. They go to live in his bungalow in the suburbs and get very intimate. Then things spiral out of control when James' friend, J.T., and his goons molest Anuradha, and when James comes to her rescue, they assault him, and he passes away thereafter. Anuradha finds out that James had named her his chief beneficiary and she stood to inherit a lot of money, including the bungalow. She goes to live over there and is looked after by the caretaker, Thomas. She meets with Brijbhushan Mishra, who lives a wealthy lifestyle, with his daughter, Pinky, and is considering separating from his estranged wife, Veena, who is now living with her parents. They become close friends, and Brijbhushan proposes marriage, which she accepts. Before the matter could proceed further, both Brijbhushan and she get two visitors - whose visit changes their lives forever.
- Inspector Vishnu lives with his wife, Meenu, and a child. He is a honest and diligent Police Officer, and is presently investigating a corrupt businessman and gangster named Kamraj. When Kamraj starts to feel the pressure, he warns Vishnu, in vain. One day when Vishnu returns home, he finds that Meenu and his child have been killed. Enraged he goes to avenge their deaths, and kills some of Kamraj's associates. As a result he gets dismissed from the police force, and goes into hiding. To make matters worst, his brother-in-law, Sub-Inspector Jairam has been assigned to bring him to justice. Apparently, Jairam knows where Vishnu is hiding, and all he has to do is go there and arrest him. Before he could do so, Vishnu is killed, and now it is Jairam's turn to avenge his death. Will he be able to do so without killing anyone; getting caught; losing his job; and getting his wife, Bindu, killed?
- Kanchan Mahalakshmi, known as Lakshmi (Sridevi) goes on cycle door to door and sells sarees on instalment basis. She has the responsibility of looking after her family as her father Raghunath is a drunkard, and her mother Savitri is a disabled woman. Lakshmi loves an educated youngman Manoj (Krishna). Manoj is respected and liked by his fellow farmers. He comes to their rescue whenever they are exploited and cheated by Bishambarnath, the owner of a sugar factory, in connection with the supply of sugar-cane. Bishambar decides to separate Lakshmi and Manoj by revealing that Manoj's mother Rajeshwari is in jail on charge of a murder. After having released from the jail, Rajeshwari straightly goes to attack Bishambar, but she is caught by the police and brought to the court. In the court, it is revealed that Lakshmi is the legal heir of the sugar mill and the only daughter of Shrikant, the real owner of the sugar mill whom Bishambar had killed to grab all his properties. It is also revealed that Lakshmi is the adopted daughter of Savitri.After hearing, the judge entrusts the court-commissioner to look after the property affair until further investigation by the C.B.I. in this regard.
- Anu joins the Criminal Investigations Division of the Indian Police when her father is killed, and her mother is brutally assaulted by a woman named Sonu. Then their world is turned upside down when Anu's mom is abducted by Bhawani and Sonu, the very woman who had assaulted her, and this time she and Bhawani will ensure that she does not live to tell the tale.
- Advocate Jhun Jhunjhunwala hires Vijay Kumar to act as a husband for a rich, wealthy, and spoiled girl named Radha, to which Vijay agrees to. As time passes, both fall in love together, and decide to get married. Shortly after that Vijay is arrested and imprisoned. When Jhunjhunwala investigates, he find out that Vijay is held for the murder of his wife, Vaishali Verma, who was killed before Vijay met Radha.
- Police Inspector Saeed Rehman (Aloknath) is an honest police officer in the city's police force. During the course of trying to expose Inspector Pradhan, they come across the real kingpin behind Pradhan, names the notorious Raunakbhai (Paresh Rawal). And nothing comes in the way of Raunakbhai, as Saeed, Rakesh, and Amita will soon find out, as he has incriminating evidence against the Chief Minister of the State, as well as other dignitaries.

- Ajit Pal is a wealthy U.K. based businessman of East Indian origin. He has a son, Rajeshwar, who lives with Ajit's friend in India. Rajeshwar is prone to all the bad habits possible, but manages to keep away from the clutches of the police. Then one day he sees a beautiful young woman (Madhu) jogging, and decides to have her for himself at any cost. He starts stalking her, and even plants a wireless camera in her bedroom so as to spy on her. One day while following her, he accosts and confronts her and tells her of his love for her, but she rejects him and asks him to leave her alone. He refuses to listen, and tries to force himself upon her but she is saved with the timely arrival of her Police Inspector boyfriend, Vijay. Rajeshwar is arrested and held in prison, but is soon released when a high-priced lawyer is hired by Ajit. Vijay and Madhu hope that it is the last they have seen of Rajeshwar, and return to their romance. But Rajeshwar has not forgotten Madhu, nor of his humiliation at the hands of Vijay. He manages to follow Madhu, confronts her, and has his way with her, and leaves her for dead to carry on with his irresponsible lifestyle. When Vijay finds out that his sweetheart is dead, he is beyond himself and goes on the rampage, looking for Rajeshwar. Before Vijay could even trace him, Rajeshwar finds out that his friends, who had aided him against Madhu, are dying one by one. One is hit by a truck, the other is electrocuted in his bathtub, and a third falls from a cliff. What or who is killing these men, and is Rajeshwar going to be the next victim. Watch as event unfold, pitting Rajeshwar against a force that he, nor his father, can do anything about.
- Professor Vishwa Mitra, the founder of a group that dissuades marriages, and his follower fall in love with the same girl, Shaku. Durshan persuades Vishwa to take the right decision and marry Bindu.
- A reigning monarch, Raja Mahendra Pratap, in India has a problem, to be precise five problems, from five different wives, all deceased now, in the shape and form of his sons, Shiv, Veer, Gyan, Rudra, and Surya, who have grown up, are matured, but still behave like children. While one son is on the look out for a golden deer; the other goes through their swimming pool looking for a mermaid; the third is a walking talking Bollywood directory full of dialogs from Mughal-E-Azam and Sholay; the fourth is obsessed with Raat Rani; and the fifth with kites of all shapes and colors. In order to find a solution, the Raja consults with Dr. Lapadia, who advises him to get his sons married. For this purpose, Dr. Lapadia brings five women, namely Noorie Topaz, Geeta Delhiwali, Sita Devi, Julie Lele, and Bobby Veerappa. The five women befriend the five brothers, hot romance ensues, and soon the brothers believe that their problems have been solved and each has met his soul-mate. What Mahendra Pratap and his sons do not know is that these five women are nothing more than pick-pockets, con-women, prostitutes, and thieves, and their only goal is to marry the princes, with Dr. Lapadia's help, get hold of a map and a key that will lead them to the location of the royal treasure.
- Tall, attractive Anajli, in the company of two female friends in a convertible are stranded with a flat tire. Unable to change the tire, they wait for someone to help them. It is then they see a vehicle head their way, the driver is Jai Walia, a former Major in the Indian Army, and a business executive at present. He assists them, and when Anjali and Jai's eyes lock - it is love at first sight. Shortly thereafter the two get married and settle down in a life of harmony and love. Then one day Anjali gets a phone call from a woman who cautions her that Jai is having an affair, and she should check his handkerchief for lipstick marks. Anjali does so, and finds lipstick marks on them, when she confronts Jai, he denies ever having an affair with anyone. Then Anjali, on a surprise visit to Jai's office, finds his Secretary, Mahek, rubbing his back and shoulders. And yet again, she finds Jai in bed with an unknown young female in one of their spare bedrooms. What Anjali does not know is that Jai has had an affair with a drug-addict named Reema, who has a gun with Jai's finger-prints on them - a gun which was used to kill a man named Mukhtar.
- While on a tiger-hunt, aristocrats Thakur and Sehgal got into a dispute about which of them shot the tiger. The dispute escalated into fisticuffs and a gunfight; Sehgal got killed, and Thakur got seriously wounded. Sehgal's son swore to avenge his father's death and raced over to kill Thakur, who died before he could get there. Since then bitterness and anger has existed between these two families. Years later, Jai Singh Sehgal and Durga Digvijay fall in love with each other. Both Digvijay Thakur and Hari Singh Sehgal are against this marriage. Jai's brother Vishal manages to pacify his father and convinces him that it is in the best interest of both families that this marriage take place. Shortly thereafter, Vishal gets killed, and the only persons who could have killed him are Thakur's men. It is now up to Jai to avenge Vishal's death and sacrifice his love for Durga. Will he be able to carry out his duty?
- Ailing multi-millionaire Pratap's mom gets him to promise that he will marry the first woman he sees the next morning, to which he agrees. The first woman he sees is Reena who comes from a poor family. Pratap proposes to her dad, and introduces Reena to his mom. The marriage is celebrated with great pomp and ceremony. Years later a son, Shyam, is born to them. When Shyam grows up he attends college and falls in love with fellow-collegian, Babli. When Pratap finds out that his son is in love, he meets and accepts Babli as his daughter-in-law right away. The only problem is Babli's brother, Dhamu Dada, who hates all millionaires, and is all set to oppose this marriage - tooth and nail.

Shankar has a close friend in Sher Khan (Pathaan), who they treat as their brother. Both men are honest and assist the Police in apprehending stolen items and drugs much to the chagrin of underworld madam, Salma, and her henchmen Birju and Ramzan. They tamper with Shankar's truck, leading to an accident in which he loses his left leg, placing the trio in even more financial hardship. Their woes worsen when Sher is attacked, loses a lot of blood, and is hospitalized. Sher eventually survives with Shankar's assistance. Not satisfied with this outcome, Salma and her men now concoct a devious plan to do away with both Shankar and Sher once and for all.
- Shyam is a caretaker of a bungalow that is owned by the Government of India and must only be occupied by visiting Government officials. Whenever any official visits and stays overnight, they are lured outside by the screams of a woman, and then are killed, and subsequently their dead bodies are buried in the neighboring area. Govind, Shyam's friend, finds out the secret, and he too is killed. Police Inspector Ashok Kumar stays in the bungalow overnight and he is also killed. Finally the Police instruct Inspector Rani to befriend Shyam, convince him to let her live at this bungalow, and then try and find out who is killing all the male occupants.

- Swati Azad and Mridula are two inseparable friends in college. Both do well in their studies, successfully complete college and get married to Ajay Lal and Milind Khanna respectively. Four years later, Prasad Saxena, another former collegian meets with a pregnant Mridula and informs her that Swati has committed suicide as she had lost her sanity. He tells her about the background of Swati's death and his suspicions that she was actually killed by the Lal family. Mridula gets hold of a Swati's diary, reads it, and concludes that the Lal family did kill Swati. She has the case reopened, files various documents in Court, and has the Lals - Ajay and his dad, Hasmukh, charged under section 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is here that Mridula will find out that she has opened up a virtual Pandora's box - for the lawyer representing the Lals is none other than Deepak Khanna - her father-in-law. When Milind finds out he accuses Mridula of trying to disrupt the Khanna family life, and tells her that she is losing her sanity. Will Mridula find herself in the same situation as Swati, and end up dead, with her case being shown as "suicide" and closed?
- Veerendra Pratap Rai is a wealthy businessman who lives in a palatial house with his son, Vikram, and daughter, Seema. Vikram is an alcoholic and womanizer, while Seema is the opposite, and is qualified to practice medicine in India. She meets with fellow doctor, Anand, who comes from a poor background, and both are attracted to each other, and fall in love. They decide to get married, but Seema's brother will not hear of his sister getting married to a poor man, but would prefer that she marry Dr. Anil Verma, who is equally wealthy. But Seema is adamant, and will only marry Anand. Then tragedy strikes when a patient, who was being treated by Anand dies, and the cause of death was that the patient was induced with a spurious drug. Anand faces a public inquiry, and with the evidence stacked against him, he may lose his job, and never be able to marry Seema.
