Leaving Robert by the phone, the Untouchables leave hurriedly for the dog track to try to discover how the trick is pulled off. What the Untouchables don't suspect is that, as soon as they leave, Robert calls Catone to tell him everything ...
- The city of Cheesecago has suffered under the rule and whims of its cruel mobster Al Catone for a long time now. The relentless work of Elliot Mouse and the Untouchables, though, is about to bring his power down. Accused of not having paid taxes while getting rich from his criminal acts, the Untouchables take him to trial, basing their evidence on the accounting book that details all is underworld activity. Our friends only need the witness of Walter Sum, to verify the truthfulness of the recorded events. Far from showing defeat, Catone prepares himself for his day of reckoning with all the weapons he can muster. First he makes sure all the jury members are bribed so they will declare him innocent, thus overpowering Mr. Wilson's great effort, as prosecution attorney, to prove Catone's crimes. Later, and in spite of having been hidden on a farm outside the city, Rat Nitti finds the accountant. A fight that ensues with Gordon ends up delivering Walter a serious head injury that causes him to lose his memory. Without the memory of their key witness, the Untouchables lose the main leverage they had to send their worst nightmare to prison. Catone's crimes have been so numerous, however, that before he can crack a smile, a noisy apparition ends up charging him for good on the day of his final judgment ...
- The Cheesecago Twon council celebrates a charity event on Cheesemas Eve to raise funds which are then used to buy toys for the city's poorest children. Once the gala is over, however, mayor Big Bit Thompson, Catone and the reporters from the Animal Examiner (who act as witnesses to the event) divide up the money between them - as they do every year - leaving only a handful of bills for the toys. Of course, Catone gets the biggest portion. The reporters, unhappy with their lot, discuss between themselves that the time has come for their "salary raise". Tino Berardi, the reporter friend of the Untouchables, has been snooping around during the gala disguised as Santa Mouse. The other reporters decide to send Catone a not that same night requesting more money in exchange for their silence. The note is simply signed "Santa Mouse". When Catone received the note he thinks that the blackmailer is Tino Berardi and sends his thugs after him. Tino is protected by the Untouchables, however. In the course of the clash, they discover that someone is blackmailing Catone under the disguise of Santa Mouse. Through their wit, Elliot and his companions uncover the true blackmailer with the unexpected help of the real Santa Mouse ....

Kalulong, one of the oldest Aborigines, sees with his spiritual powers that the holy stone is back in the cave. The Aborigines go there, where the Count is held by the criminals. Spirou and Spip are on the way there as well to save the Count.
