As Cheryl drives away Loretta turns up with a knife. Next morning Draska's apartment is raided by the police and she discovers that the stolen money has been ripped out of the mattress. Back at the West home Loretta is a very happy and a rich young woman. Next day, Van still wants to marry Draska. Loretta offers Draska the money she stole to jilt Van which she does after all the Wests object to the wedding. So the series ends with a West no-wedding party. Wolf's home; Judd and Cheryl have parted; Van is a free man; Pascalle is in the sack with Kurt and Loretta is still despairing of her family.
