Even before their wedding is set, Anna proves herself to be impulsive and hard to handle.

Unsatisfied having to answer to Alva, Margaretja Van Parma steps down as regent. Alva has Egmond & Hoorne arrested and put on trial. Oranje's son Philips Willem is send to the Spanish Court. Willem decides to go to war and take back the Netherlands.

Richie takes Lori Beth along one day while Fonzie is out and Chachi is repairing a truck rented by Al Potsie, and Ralph. The group is ecstatic when Chachi gets the truck running, but then an injured Lori Beth runs into the garage begging for help: she and Richie have been in a horrible crash. At the hospital the doctor can only tell Howard and Marion that Richie was fortunate to have been wearing his helmet, but he might never regain consciousness. The family returns home to their friends (Leather offers a touching song to comfort everyone). Late that night Fonzie goes to the hospital, where the sight of unconscious Richie so horrifies him that he utters a rambling prayer to God...and finally breaks down in tears at the possible death of his friend. He keeps a beside vigil, and Richie eventually awakens. He makes a full recovery, quickly becoming his old self, and Fonzie thanks God for pulling his friend through.
- With his parents out for the evening, home-alone Richie recovers from the Asiatic flu, waits for his friends to sneak him pizza and a movie, and surprises a burglar in the living room.
- To help secure a lucrative business deal for Cunningham Hardware, Howard asks Richie to take his client's daughter out on a date. Problem is, Richie already has a date ... but then he learns that Potsie doesn't.

Philips II appoints his half brother Don Juan as regent to the Netherlands, who arrives with an offer for Willem van Oranje concerning his eldest son.
