- Dimitri the little bird from northern Europe has landed on the plain of Ubuyu in Africa. Every day he learns to overcome his fears and discover a world full of surprises. In Ubuyu being different is an asset that he will share with Makeba the giraffe, Oko the zebra and Pili the meerkat. Praise of sharing and friendship, this animation is playful and gives at the end of some episodes a moral adventure lived.
- Jana's plans to escape the Cordon, things get complicated when others become ill and colleague's discover her plans to escape. Lex, Nald and Jokke discover damaging information against Dr. Cannerts and Lommers, while the Gov't plots to have Lex removed from duty and discredited. Ineke fights desperately to save her daughter Elli life. Tyl is rescued by Jokke who takes him back to the hospital where he and his sister Lien are tested for the virus.This finale episode shocks us with the untimely and unexpected deaths of main characters and leaves me wanting to watch more of this terrific series.
- Leo and Lex examine the CCTV footage that Jokke has smuggled out of the Institute, does it hold a clue to the source of the outbreak? Meanwhile, inside the cordon one of Katja's pupils comes into contact with a carrier of the virus.
- Lommers takes drastic action to control the flow of information out of the restricted zone by blocking phone signals. Meanwhile, Jokke is powerless to prevent black marketeers taking over the food distribution system.
- The authorities stubbornly remained obsessed with 'panic prevention', although the scientific findings are worsening further and contaminations occur. Commissioner Lex Faes even has to order one of his man inside the quarantine after exposure during the sneaky extraction of a boy which goes wrong when panic breaks out. Atypical cases require rethinking the whole pathology, which may even face a rapid mutation. Inside, people's assumptions lead to more conflict and needless risk taking. Prisoners escape during foo distribution and subject a shopkeeper to racketeering after killing a looter.
- Things get further out of hand. Rogue reporter Leo Gryspeerts has anonymously set up an uncensored blog, which counters the authorities' carefully manipulated communication. Quarantined people grow ever more suspicious and hostile, with painful or worse consequences for many, with escaped prisoners terrorizing those they can find. Dr. Cannaerts works on the assumption the bird flu virus mutation stems from Afghanistan, but can't get reliable information about the situation there.
