They go to pick him up but when they get there, he's gone and they see a story on the web that the police are looking at him as person of interest. And the story was written by the reporter Clark is seeing. When they find the man, he denies doing anything to her and hints that they should look at her mother who's like a svengali. Later the girl's father shows up and tries to kill the man but Clark stops him. An investigation into who leaked the guy's identity to the press is underway and Arroyo thinks it's Clark though he denies it.

So he tells Clark he knows about what he did for his father--lie on the stand. So he expects Clark to help him.

She tells them of a man who hates the priest because the priest is covering for the person who killed his daughter. But when he has an alibi, they go back to Natasha who maintains she's trying to go straight. But when they find items that don't belong to her in her room she denies that she took them. And when she has alibis when they were stolen but Arroyo thinks she has an accomplice. Clark asks her about a guy she brought to the priest to help. She claims she thinks she knows where he could be but has to show them where it is but she's in custody. Clark decides to give her a chance and when they get there she asks Calrk to wait while she goes find him. But she disappears and now Clark is in hot water.
- The team is investigating the death of a woman who is married to the son of a wealthy and influential man. Her husband is away so they talk to his father. Owen wants to tread lightly but when Clark tires of him giving them the run around flat out asks if he killed her. That's when his lawyer invokes his right to remain silent. Later the man goes to the mayor who sends the deputy mayor to tell Clark to watch his step. But in private the deputy mayor tells Clark the mayor hates the man and that the mayor is impressed with him. They learn the woman was running a drug rehab center. so they see if anyone there has reason to kill her. Clark learns that his mother owes a loan shark and the interest has made it go up so high, he doesn't know what to do.
