The stalling tactic gives Rob enough time to discover that despite the added financial burden placed on his father, Steve (Fred MacMurray) enjoys taking care of his grandchildren, and that he has plans to redesign Rob's room to accommodate Rob, Katie (Tina Cole) and the triplets.
