Shelby works on making sure her senior staff deal with the raw emotion of the loss of one of their own. Meanwhile, Siroc sets his own plan in motion to disrupt the incoming attack force.
- The Tholians make their move. Siroc tests a new weapon against Starfleet, while the largest meeting of Alpha Quadrant powers since the Dominion War is not going well. They know they need to band together against the Tholians, but the Federation is keeping secrets from its allies. The illegally joined Trill, Zen, has difficulty with his symbiont while the first-ever portrayed Tellarite Captain faces down the Tholians' deadly weapon.
- Admiral Knapp leaves the station to search for his daughter. Lefler gets on Corey's nerves about his new post as chief engineer. Ro accidentally agrees to be Captain Nej'ta's bonded brother.
- Shelby must convince the allies to stay allies. McFarland finds a new ship for her, Knapp, and Pelas to continue their search for Traya. Naros infiltrates Siroc's hideout.
- Siroc's plan comes to fruition at the Grey homeworld, and Naros and the Helena must stop him. The Grey return to attack the station, left nearly defenseless. Aris and Artim go to Ba'ku to save the Briar Patch from the Grey's rogue AI.

- Elbrey explains Siroc's plan to Naros, who puts the pieces together and goes after him. Siroc, now with Ro in captivity, puts him under telepathic control. Meanwhile, the Excelsior returns to the station, which is under attack.
