While there, he will spend time volunteering where his help is needed most, searching for deserving people and organizations that are making a real difference, and will surprise these heroes with donations of thousands of dollars from his own fortune.
- Real estate investor and multi-millionaire Marc Paskin spends a week living in a typical, run down, one-bedroom house on the east side of Detroit, an area with a reputation for crime, drugs and gangs. Paskin will have to survive on $50.00, the equivalent of one week of Detroit's welfare assistance for a single man over 55. During this time, he will find deserving people and organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of men, women and children, and will surprise these heroes with donations of thousands of dollars from his own fortune.
- Gary & Diane Heavin, CEOs/founders of Curves International, Inc., the world's largest fitness franchise company, leave their thousand-acre ranch in Texas and spend a week living in Houston's "Third Ward," where 20% of the residents live in extreme poverty. Gary & Diane will stay in a rundown one-bedroom home in a neighborhood not far from where Gary was born, home to one of the highest crime rates in the nation. They will have to survive on $6.50 per day, the equivalent of food stamps for a two-person household in Texas. During this time, they discover three exceptional organizations working to make a difference in the community and surprise them with donations of thousands of dollars from their own fortune.
