- An Announcer (JOE FOWLER) introduces each episodes. The Hosts were Mr. West (ALEX CORD), an old citizen of Broken Neck village whose "local people" were offering "up to five thousand union dollars" to whomever delivered them from the Outlaws, and Miss K.C. Clark (LISA COLES, aka Lisa Guerrero), the editor of the 'Broken Neck Gazette', who talked with the contestants and awarded the prize money to the winners, and each week rather neatly summed up each event with a simulated newspaper headline. The episodes were a Western-themed tournament in and around Broken Neck. Three visitors, two Cowboys and a Cowgirl, face a team of local Rough Riders or Outlaws, also two men and one woman, in a series of physical challenges: The Grand Stampede (cattle roping from horseback; stopping a runaway stagecoach by leaping from their horse onto it), Rider in the Sky (climbing the water tower and defusing a dynamite bomb before it blows), Shootout (a paintball gunfight), and Bull Run (obstacle course, like crossing a pond full of logs). Some episodes included a bar room tug-of-war over a purse with money, or a brawl, where the cowboy or the cowgirl have to try and force the outlaw out through the double saloon doors. The final game is a race across the rooftops, picking up a cash bag and hopefully getting on a horse and riding off into the sunset within a time limit - and all whilst not getting shot. The early games pay $100 to the winner of each individual event (top $300 for the three events), and the successful completion of the final wins $5,000. There were also stuntmen doing Western stunts between events.

Despite their suspicions they agree to raise the $400 needed for special treatment required for Peggy's injury. To raise the money, Stony boxes four rounds in an exhibition with "Killer" McCully and succeeds in knocking him out. Taking the money to the orphanage, the Mesquiteers are impressed when they find that Melloney has stretched his budget and purchased the equipment already. They are unaware that Melloney and associate J. D. Crone did so to keep attention from being focused on the home, as they are exploiting the kids and taking funds allotted to running the orphanage. When Stony sees a small boy being bullied by an attendant, he hears enough to convince him that a child-labor sweatshop is being run in the basement. In the garb of a "Masked Rider", and with the aid of Rusty, Rico and nurse Ruth Miller, the job of rescuing the children and convicting the crooks begins.

Barbecue recovers and tells the hands that Nancy paid for his hospital bills with monies accumulated for her father's feed bill. - Rodeos are woven into the cultural fabric of the American West and are held in small towns and bustling cities from Arizona to North Dakota, and beyond. Professional rodeo cowboys travel a year-long circuit of these rodeos, participating in a 150 year-old tradition, hoping to grab their share of fame and fortune. Cowboy Christmas is a 75-minute documentary following four of these modern-day cowboys as they drive for miles and miles to get a seconds-long chance at their dream. In the two weeks leading up to Independence Day-the Fourth of July, there are over 30 rodeos in 19 states, with a combined purse of over $3million. Because a rider can win a lot of money, these two weeks are informally and affectionately dubbed Cowboy Christmas. The documentary follows four cowboys making this trip, with each traveling over 2000 miles in eight days, in pickup trucks pulling trailers hauling horses, feed, other cowboys, and lots of desire to win. These cowboys are steer wrestlers who jump from a running horse to a running steer and wrestle it to the ground. The cowboys talk about injuries, driving, care for horses, and money: losing it, winning it and just breaking even. They describe strategy, camaraderie, and the mental game they play to win. And they wrestle steers-from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Oakley, Utah, and places in between. They win, they lose, and their passion for rodeo never wanes. They are cowboys, that most American icon, living their dreams, following the tradition of Western life, while risking broken bones, lost personal relationships and overdrawn bank accounts as they go down the road to the next arena, the next steer, their next chance at the American Dream.
