- In the first episode, tenured nurse Audrey Hardy (General Hospital's longest-running character, portrayed by Rachel Ames) was injured and an intern had to operate on her with a power drill to save her life.
- The death of Jack Soo in 1979 marked the passing of both a fine comedy actor and one of TV's most memorable characters: Nick Yemana, the deadpan detective known for his dry wit and wretched coffee. She tells him that they're waiting to see if he will be called to the next world or if he will return. And he says he is needed because without him the Owens would end up in chaos. But Angel shows him they can make it without him.

He was hoping to play but when a girl also tries out and it turns out she phenomenal, the coach puts her on the team. and Wesley is stuck on the bench. When he realizes she likes him, he takes her out hoping that she'll be so starry eyed that she can't concentrate on her football and he can play. And it works only problem is the team is now losing games and they blame him.
- When George orders a pinball machine for the garage, Mr. Belvedere becomes so addicted to it that he neglects his household duties.

Kevin arrives and Belvedere asks Kevin to take him to Atlantic City but his car is broken so they hitch a ride with Robert Goulet. After Heather and her companions check in, they take Mr. Sparks out while Wesley wants to try his gambling system but because he is underage, he stays in the room. And Belvedere and George and Marsha arrive at the same hotel and they miss each other.
