Mick works on a farm to pay the doctor's bills. Once Sauly is well, they travel farther - until they reach Prince. In this mysterious city, all of the people are named Miller, and once Sauly and Mick finally are at the ocean, they meet Landolfi once more.

Wo auch immer Dr. Flanke beflügelt von den besten Absichten hinkommt, endet er auf die eine oder andere Weise im Chaos. Thomas, der Neffe seiner rührigen Sprechstundenhilfe Schwester Agnes, verdreht unterdessen Biggis Tochter Susanne den Kopf, was der ehrgeizigen Mutter gar nicht in die Zukunftspläne passt. Dr. Flanke soll also Thomas fernhalten von dem Mädchen, eine Forderung, die Thomas' Trainer Sepp, der zufällig auch Susannes Erzeuger ist, nachdrücklich unterstützt. Wenn es dafür mal nicht schon zu spät ist.

- Jahrelang hat Angelika Minhoff für ihren viel beschäftigten Schauspielergatten das Mädchen für alles gespielt. Jetzt drängt es sie nach einer Beschäftigung, die ihr wirkliche Anerkennung und Befriedigung verschafft. Doch nach so langer Pause empfängt man die attraktive Frau in der Arbeitswelt nicht gerade mit offenen Armen, zumal es sich Angelika Minhoff mangels anderer Erfahrungen in den Kopf gesetzt hat, ausgerechnet als Kraftfahrerin ihr Glück zu suchen. Hämische Bemerkungen und skeptische Blicke der Kollegen sind garantiert. Daheim muss sich der Schauspielergatte nun um so profane Dinge wie Kind und Haushalt kümmern, alle Proteste sind vergeblich. Während Minhoff zunehmend unter offenkundiger Vernachlässigung durch seine Frau leidet, wissen die lieben Kollegen bald die Fürsorge und das verständnisvolle Ohr ihrer weiblichen Verstärkung zu schätzen. Zu guter Letzt entdeckt auch noch Direktor Bellmann sein Herz für die Frauenförderung. Als der Cheffahrer in den Ruhestand geht, soll Angelika seine Nachfolgerin werden.
- Stannebein is "an inventor of air ships for the benefit of mankind," or so he sees himself and his place in world history. In order to secure financing for his fancy, he adopts to the rhetoric of the time and, unwittingly, ends up building an air base for the Nazi German Condor Legion in Spain. His protest to the German authorities is, of course, in vain. In 1945, his family starts to inquire about him, surmising that his past and his patents might be valuable. However, Stannebein's last residence, the insane asylum, stands empty.

The king is bankrupt and threatened with war by other countries. Young Michael has to go to war for the king. The creature tries to secretly join him. When Michael gets hold of the situation, he manages to get rid of Mishap once and for all. After all, he has more important things to do. At the last moment, he prevents his girlfriend Kathrin from getting married to the pompous merchant Habermoos.
