- Riley thinks it's time the family had a second auto and he will sacrifice his motorcycle to make it happen. Chester holds a raffle for his bike but he befuddles the idea and his plan starts to unravel.
- Sapphire insists Kingfish sell a worthless piece of property immediately and Kingfish can only think of one person who'd be dumb enough to taker it off his hands - Andy Brown. Unfortunately for Kingfish, Andy has the last laugh.

- The lodge gives the Kingfish a clock as a present. Unfortunately the clock doesn't work so he and Andy decide to return it to the factory but things don't go as smoothly as planned.
- Andy, broke as usual, is desperate to earn money so he can give his god-daughter a talking doll for Christmas. He convinces a manager to hire him as a department store Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, Amos explains to Arbadella the true meaning of the "Lord's Prayer".
- The Kingfish purchases a gift for Sapphire for their anniversary and inside the gift is a gun that some crooks have hidden. Kingfish decides to pawn the gun so he can buy Sapphire a nicer gift, but things don't work out as planned.
- The Kingfish and Sapphire are faithful listeners to The Happy Harringtons radio program, and they wish some of Harry and Harriet's happiness would rub off on their marriage.
- The Kingfish figures there's a profit to be made, if he can insert himself as the middleman in acquiring the twenty turkeys that Sapphire needs for her woman's club dinner.
- After Sapphire gets the Kingfish a brush-selling job, he tricks Andy into doing the work for him, without pay.

- The Kingfish swindles Andy out of a rare nickel. Later, he unthinkingly drops it in the slot of a lunchroom's phone booth and places a call. It's now up to Andy and him to figure out how to retrieve the valuable coin without getting caught.

- A woman confesses to shooting her ex-husband and is to stand trial for murder. Her boyfriend tells the public defender what really happened.
- A man is arrested for kidnapping his own child. The public defender is given the story behind the reason by the man's artist rep.
- Hillary's Dad will only allow her to marry a man with musical talent, so Lou goes to a singing teacher.
- Gillis gets a telegram out of the blue and is secretive about its contents. Riley speculates wildly that his friend came into money and gets mad at Jim for being so mysterious.
- Margie accompanies her dad Vern and his boss Honeywell to a convention. Mr. Honeywell hopes to be elected an officer and Margie in an attempt to help derails the effort. She then tries to fix the situation to save her father's job.
- Margie gets a chance to audition for a part in a science fiction TV show with a help of her neighbor. But her father forbids her from acting so she and the crew members play a trick on her dad and Mr. Honeywell.
- A somewhat grumpy and uptight banker, Cosmo Topper, and the ghosts which only he could see or hear, George and Marion Kerby. The Kerbys would often try to get Cosmo to loosen up and enjoy life, but more often they would complicate it.
- Charley impersonates his double, a man named Bud Martin, unaware that he's a wanted criminal.
- Superman rams a giant asteroid on a collision course with Earth. The impact causes the asteroid to now orbit the planet. However, Superman is staggered as he returns to Earth. He manages to change back to Clark Kent (apparently a reflex action) but doesn't remember who he is. Meanwhile, the orbiting asteroid still presents hazards for Earth. Only Superman can place an explosive device that will demolish the asteroid -- and no one, including Clark, knows where Superman is.
- A criminal breaks into Clark Kent's apartment, finds a hidden closet and steals Clark's Superman costume. The criminal is fatally wounded but not before he takes the costume to hood Ace and his girlfriend Connie. Clark is desperate to find the missing costume.
- When an old school chum visits New York, the Kingfish poses as a millionaire in order to perpetuate a hometown myth that he's an extremely successful New York businessman.
- The Kingfish hires a pretty young secretary to help him straighten out the lodge's messy book keeping, but ultimately ends up with Sapphire's mother.
- A soldier about to ship out of the country is on his way home to his pregnant wife. He gets a ride with a woman who takes him as far as the car rental place. Later that night, the man and his wife are arrested for stealing the car and hitting an old, blind woman. The Public Defender searches for the young woman who gave him a ride, but she seems to not exist.
- A young man is about to be executed and his priest makes one final attempt to prove his innocence by going to the Public Defender with the story.
