- On the morning of December 26th, the sky was blue over the seashore of Thailand and the temperature was ideal. Nobody expected what was going to happen by 10 A.M., the most terrifying tsunami ever. Ten thousand people got killed, leaving the survivors annihilated and traumatized. Ten years after the tragedy, David Muntaner and Hélène Eckmann investigate the way the survivors have gone about putting their lives back together. Before their camera a fisherman, a hotel baggage handler, a radio operator, a little girl born five days after the tsunami and her mother, a school headmistress and one student bear witness.
- The Amazing Race Asia is a reality television competition between ten teams of two in a race around the world. The race is divided into a number of legs wherein teams travel and complete various tasks to obtain clues to help them progress to a Pit Stop where they are given a chance to rest and recover before starting the next leg twelve hours later. The first team to arrive at a Pit Stop is often awarded a prize while the last team is normally eliminated from the race (except in non-elimination legs, where the last team to arrive may be penalised in the following leg). The final leg of each race is run by the last three remaining teams, and the first to arrive at the final destination wins the US$100,000 cash prize.
- The six remaining teams travel from Jaipur, India to Phuket, Thailand. A shop keeper hinders the movement of one team, while others who started the task after them complete it quicker. They find that time is not of the essence, while other teams find that a hurried pace doesn't translate to a victory, especially when one team makes mistakes for which they incur time penalties.

- Tensions rise in Thailand as one team forgets their fanny pack, putting them behind, and one Racer celebrates the end of the leg when they pop a very special question.
