- A sitcom about two sports anchors, a vain faded football star and a former Miss America, who have a love-hate relationship.

Realizing that Lucy might have invented a new miracle fertilizer, the pressure is on for her to recreate the concoction. But Curtis' dreams of fame and fortune wilt when Lucy can't recall the recipe.
- Kevin's favorite teddy bear is accidentally sold at a yard sale; when Lucy offers a $50 reward for its return, the woman who bought it asks for $500, so Lucy takes her to small claims court.
- When Margo and Ted decide to renew their wedding vows, Lucy's sister Audrey (Audrey Meadows) drops by for a visit and gradually takes over the entire event.
- Lucy moves in with her kids just as Curtis arrives from Hawaii. He is upset at what Lucy did to the store while he was gone. Lucy makes a mess when an industrial size fire extinguisher malfunctions. Curtis moves in with the family.
- Becky signs up Lucy for her school's Grandma Talent Contest. Unfortunately, Lucy doesn't sing, dance, tell jokes, or do magic, so she decides to do a dramatic recitation so as not to disappoint her grandchildren.
- Curtis is building a tree house for Kevin and Lucy is buying Becky fancy new clothes. Ted and Margo come to the conclusion that their parents are spoiling the kids. When Kevin overhears his grandparents' solution is to move out, he removes the ladder to the tree house stranding them in a rain storm.
- Curtis wants to retire so he sells his half of the store to Lucy. Lucy's extravagant spending threatens the store with bankruptcy while Curtis gets bored with making birdhouses at home. When Lucy interviews prospective new partners, Curtis swallows his pride and asks her to take him back again.
- After M&B Hardware is robbed, Lucy rents a guard goose to protect the store. When Curtis accidentally injuries the goose, Lucy takes it home to nurse the feisty bird back to health.
