- A rugby player gets a broken leg in a match. He dies from a brain bleed. After investigating, it is revealed that his best friend punched him in the head and caused it. Janice finds Chrissy's name badge and confronts Alistaire and he weasels his way out of it. He gives her the necklace that he bought for Chrissy. Janice is pregnant.
- The war is over and all the children who were evacuated to Flaxton Hall are going home. All but Terry Nicholls, whose house was bombed and his parents are missing. As the troops are leaving the Hall, Terry hops on the back of a truck heading for London.
- Marco is an Italian POW working at Flaxton Hall. Terry resents him because his father is missing in Italy. He wants to trade Marco for his dad. Marco wants to escape and steals a motorcycle. Terry wants to go to London in case his father shows up and sees their bombed house. He will think his family is dead. Will Marco take the boy as far as London in his escape?
- Gregg Cutler is a Bevin Boy. He could not join the army because the army conscripted him to work in the local coal mine. The boys resent him because both their fathers are in the war, and they think he is a coward. Lawyer Peter Weekes gives him a job as an assistant apprentice. He tries to kill himself on the train tracks, but a woman stops him. He tries to jump off a bridge and an old army acquaintance stops him by offering him half of his £ 90,000 inheritance. Harry finds out that Corp. Beamish was lying to stop him from jumping. Harry tells him of his plan to start a "secret army" and recruits him. They don't like each other as Beamish had an affair with Harry's wife while he was away in the army.

A radio quiz comes on and the question is on the exact item he is reading in the book. He wins £10 and his ego is boosted. There is graffiti all over town to celebrate.
- Series Finale. Mervyn gets a threatening call from the bookie and runs away. Two heavies are waiting in his office later when Selwyn comes in. Mervyn has run off without locking up the camp for the season, so Selwyn gets Mr Price the owner out of the hospital. Mervyn comes back, and his uncle is angry. Selwyn packs up, and sadly goes back to his mum in Scarsdale.

How some customs nowadays are based on that time. Using present day re-enactors, we get the real feel for the time period.
- Ruth starts back at the ED. Mads comes back from Pakistan with an engagement ring. Lenny is not happy about it. A boy comes in with stomach pains, and a woman gets hit by a motorcycle. Mads drinks with the staff at the pub and goes off alone in a taxi.
- Jay finds out his results and pays a visit to Ruth, but can't tell her why he has not visited. An underage girl gets drugged in a bar. A man comes in with a rare hormone imbalance. Jordan and Miriam are competing to win Clinical Head. The staff decide who gets the job.
- Ric agrees to take cash for doing a private surgery, but the patient's father threatens him, that if his son dies, he won't pay up. He also threatens to have him beaten up. Rosie insists to Mubbs that he should get a woman's medical records and he doesn't. The woman lies to him and endangers the baby.
- An author is looking for haunted pubs and Stanley convinces him the Brown Cow is haunted, so he agrees to spend the night. The gang dress up in period costumes to frighten him. They get stuck in the secret passage and he hears them screaming and runs out, then Nellie sees a real one.

- Chrissy tells Sam that she will tell Alex that Sam spiked his drinks. Sam goes to Alex, and as she is about to tell him, he tells her he loves her. A man who was a bully at school, gets a bed next to a man who was his victim, with unfortunate results.
- New Year's day. Chrissie wakes up in Mubb's bed and tries to sneak out. The organ ambulance is stuck in traffic and the recipient dies waiting for it. There is a second patient waiting as well, so they give it to him, but he dies too. Tom blames the system and Zubin calms him down.
- Nick Jordan drives without a license and gets in a collision. The police want to blame him for the accident, but later find out it was a stalker who was following a woman's car. Kirsty has more noticeable injuries on her. Ruth misplaces her book and blames the staff for stealing it.
- Clive pulls yet another prank on Selwyn. He calls him in a disguised voice and tells him he is needed for a special op by the government. Go to a construction shack down the road and wait for a special parcel and bring it back to the pub. Selwyn waits all night and in the morning it is there. He takes it back and opens it. Not exactly a military secret.
- Christmas special. Bernard and Penny are getting married today. They predict that everyone will interfere with their plans to stay at the hotel, so they tell everyone they are going to Portugal for their honeymoon. When they sneak back to the hotel, they get a surprise.

- Bet always latched on to losers. She rented from Mike Baldwin and thought he would give her his house, but he threw her out. As a barmaid at the Rover's, Annie looked down on her until she met Alec Gilroy, a much older man. She was his arm candy and eventually they married. He left her and she became owner of the Rover's.
- The Campers are disgruntled because Selwyn has failed to provide any entertainment. He decides to take them to the cinema, but when they get there, they find it has been turned into a bingo hall. So he offers to buy them dinner, and while he is gone, they all get back on the bus and leave him there.
- Samantha invites Alex to her birthday party, but he declines. He meet Jess in a bar, and she takes him to the party. He finds out Jess is Ric's daughter and she is flatmates with Samantha. A fight breaks out with Steve and his old friend. Police come, Ric calls them racist, he gets arrested for not cooperating.
- A junkie steals Thurtson,s drug money, the gang chase him through the woods. Wes is beating him when the junkie falls on a plank with nails in it and dies. This is what Evie witnessed. Ryan trips her in the cafeteria and Evie sends the Birch to kill him.
- Selwyn volunteers to join the Scarsdale band. He drives his family crazy by practicing at all hours. He is so proud, he tells the committee about it, and they let him know that the band has be defunct for a few months. So he decides to have a group photo to hang over the bar, but the drum rolls away.
- Kirsty asks Adam to lie to the police for her. A victim attacks his mugger and they both end up in the ED. When Jay discovers that the mugger is in Lenny's care, he goes after him. The victim has something to hide and won't press charges. Jay misses his doctor's appointment. Miriam Turner examines Jay and accompanies him to a specialist.
- Stanley's cousin Alf comes to visit. As Stanley and Gilbert are demonstrating how Nellie broke her ankle, Stanley breaks his. Alf is left in charge and offers to give Brenda a costume party for her birthday. They get caught drinking after closing and are all arrested. Alf makes such a mess of his trial, they are all free to go.
- A patient has to decide whether to have her 6th baby or a heart operation, either one or the other. Alex Adam's tribunal today. Tom saves him by recommending that he not be fired, but put in the out patients clinic. Alex is angry with the result.
- The reality show comes to Toronto where Coronation Street expert Jeanne Barber describes the fan base, hosts a corrie party, and acts as voice over as well as an interviewee. 10 million people in the UK watched this particular show of how much Canadians love the series.
