Now in 2012, a cute, nervous geek, Emily, accidentally releases an ancient shape shifter, The Tam Lin, into our time, who immediately causes havoc with anyone and everyone it can come into contact with, forcing the current line up of The Three, Markus (Des O'Gorman), Kate (Mhairi Calvey) and Adam (Jamie Forrest) to team up with cage fighter Charles (Mat Robertson) to stop Tam Lin (Craig McEwan) at all costs.

Maggie McDoon wants to pass the family care package business to one of her three children but her partner wants the best man for the job. Penelope is with Jayden but for how long and what has that to do with; a silver strigil, an American businesswoman and a rather shy German?
- Alan is in for the weirdest day of his life when he returns home from a party and goes for a drink. He finds a bottle of LimboJuice in the fridge...but it proves a challenge to keep a hold of the bottle.
- Jason Mackenzie isn't your average Glaswegian, in fact, he's a superhero! While walking home from work, Amy Campbell is attacked in an underpass, but Jason rushes in and uses his electricity powers to save her. However, Jason collapses and Amy takes him back to her flat and patches his wounds. This is where Jason decides to tell Amy how he became a superhero.
- Jason continues to struggle to keep the city streets safe as Mr. Philips' associate, Miss Jones, chases down Stevie, determined to get stolen property back from him. Meanwhile DCI Sloan and DI Mullan attempt to get information from Mr. Philips that could put him in jail for life.
- Still haunted by her ordeal, Amy asks Jason to meet so she can ask him questions about his powers, meanwhile DCI Sloan and DI Mullan find a lead to Mr. Philips, however trouble is just around the corner that will lead to one of our characters being killed.

Meanwhile Jason is still haunted by the death of someone close by, and decides to hit the streets where he meets a young pregnant woman who is going to be killed unless Jason can save her. Meanwhile Sloan and Mullan have a heart to heart after they are thrown off the case by their superintendent. Mr. Philips puts another plan into action and someone is kidnapped.
- In the finale episode of series 1, Jason finds his world falling apart as Amy tells him that she is leaving for London and Mr. Philips' evil plan is finally revealed, putting the entire city at risk from evil demons. Jason meets Sakura, a wise powerful entity who puts Jason on the right path to save the city. Meanwhile Sloan and Mullan's relationship is tested when Sloan continues to hit the bottle and Mullan takes the situation into his own hands that will lead to tragedy. And an enemy from Jason's past re-appears and will change his life forever...
- In an alternative future independent Scotland vampires, werewolves and zombies declare their desire to join the human race; the Prime Minister agrees to a treaty and assembles PITS, a special unit, to protect both mankind and creature.
- Set 5 years before the PITS team are formed, we meet Alexis (Caitlin Blackwood), a young, yet powerful werewolf who is about to realise what her true abilities really are. This, of course, is very useful for The Cult of Many Faces (Billy Kirkwood) who wishes to exploit her powers for his own, manipulative plans.
- With Eve Mitchell on emergency leave, the PITS team is in need of a new leader. PITS Chief and operations manager, Norris Fletcher, brings in Maya Hedges to interview for the role.
- Maya and Martin, heading up the new PITS unit in Glasgow, investigate a series of murders committed by rogue werewolf known only as Lycan A202.
- PITS member Maya Hedges desperately searches for a fellow PITS member who has been kidnapped by the Cult of Many Faces. Meanwhile, recovering from her most recent kill, Alexis is struggling to discover if she is more wolf than woman, when her twin sister Zoe reaches out to her, pleading for Alexis to run away with her.
- Following on from "Revolution in a Teacup", a desperate Maya Hedges is closer to crossing a dangerous line as The Cult of Many Faces toys with the PITS team, forcing Norris and Grace to bring in a vampire specialist to calm the people when the precious truce between vampires, werewolves and zombies begins to break down.
- Commander Norris Fletcher visiting fellow PITS agent Astrid Bennett on the way to the PITS Christmas party, but Astrid has a secret that will change things forever.
