Meanwhile, Bree continues to hide the fact that her daughter is illegitimately pregnant by pretending to be pregnant herself. An old friend of Susan's, named Katherine Mayfair, moves back onto Wisteria Lane along with her second husband, gynecologist Adam Mayfair, and Kathrine's teenage daughter Dylan, all of whom have more secrets to hide.

- Everyone reminisces about the past. Meanwhile, Izzie is emotionally devastated, with the others trying to help her, Adele gives Richard an ultimatum, and George and Derek are put in quarantine when an outbreak of the plague is suspected.
- Nicole really feels uneasy when Duncan and Yonk begin to bond over video games. Holly and her husband continue to badger Kyle about getting their daughter into the private school where he teaches. Kat is reluctant to fix Ethan up and Richie formerly asks Lina up.
- Claire Bennett is at home reading when the cheer leading captain walk in with a uniform and informs Claire that another cheerleader dropped out and the spot is hers if she wants it. Hiro Nakamura has traveled back in time to the Texas diner but realize he can't after she tells him she has a terminal disease. Nathan Petrelli and Peter Petrelli are preparing to take down their dad D.L. Hawkins and Niki Sanders are newly weds. Chandra Suresh has come to America to find and contact the people he thinks have taken an evolutionarily step. Sylar is the first but doesn't appear to have extraordinarily powers but then has the power to move things with his mind after he invites and kill another person on Chandra's list and then goes back to Chandra
- Lincoln Meyer chooses Denny to represent him when he's suspected of killing the judge. Jerry enlists Alan's help in a first degree murder case. Brad has had it with Jeffrey, who wants to have Shirley. Alan overhears Denise telling Shirley about her desires, and takes advantage of it. Denny can't seem to decide between Bethany and her mother.
- As George's father's surgery approaches, he begins to realize how serious his condition is. Meanwhile, Izzie has to prove to Bailey that she is ready to scrub in on a surgery, and Meredith keeps running into her father.
