- "La soldadera" (the female soldier) focuses upon Lázara, a simple country girl who is caught up in the Mexican Revolution. At the beginning of the film, she is a newlywed whose husband, Juan, is forced to join the federal army during the revolution. Lázara chooses to follow Juan, but unfortunately he is soon killed in battle. One of the Villista soldiers (supporters of Pancho Villa), Nicolás, takes Lázara to be his woman and so she becomes part of their band. Lázara has to walk alongside Nicolás' horse whilst carrying his rifle and gun belt as they travel. One of the older "soldaderas" puts the gun belt on Lázara and shows her how to shoot. Although Lázara does not fight, she is present during moments of conflict and is involved in the looting of a town. But Lázara wishes for nothing more than a home.

Shayla is a 34-year old free-spirited party animal who challenges the traditional perception that women in their 30s should have their life figured out. Shanice, 27, is Shayla's younger sister. As Shayla's self-appointed life, career and moral compass, Shanice wastes no time in pointing out Shayla's zany, disastrous financial escapades with her several of her ex-boyfriends. Through the use of flashbacks, viewers are taken on a humorous and quirky tour filled with an exaggerated key moment with one of Shayla's wacky, narcissistic ex-boyfriends and the ensuing monetary faux pas. Set in a studio, the film also explores complicated interconnections between sibling rivalries, immigration, financial and career instability, nostalgia, feminine sexuality, breakups, gender and cultural identity and romantic relationships. The film's ending is an homage to having fun with viewers who will be given an opportunity to make their own interpretation-will Shayla resort to using her feminine charm or will she use another method?

- The Dreams of Zarghuna is a short drama written and directed by Naomi Pattirane inspired by the Afghan Women's Writing Project, an organization that provides mentorship and support for Afghan women writers. According to UNESCO, Afghanistan has an adult literacy rate of 43.02%. While the male literacy rate is 55.48%, for females it is 29.81%. Women who learn to read or write must do so in clandestine learning groups and risk execution if they are discovered. The AWWP provides mentorship and an online platform on which their work can be published.

The documentary explores the experiences and insights of black females from different age groups and ethnic backgrounds. One of the actresses is in her 20s while the other actress is in her 40s. Some images of different geographical locations are also included.

In the current episode, Shauntelle is proud and excited to show her viewers how to make a breadfruit pie. As the film progresses, the audience learns that Shauntelle can't make the breadfruit pie because Stephen (late 20's-mid 30's)-Shauntelle's overly helpful, bumbling, assistant turned self-appointed director and co-host, brings Shauntelle bread and fruit. Stephen explains that the supermarket employee never heard of breadfruit so the employee brought bread and a fruit (a green apple) for Stephen. As a seasoned professional, Shauntelle is able to use her wit, quick thinking skills to overcome the setback.
