- It's a month since Eric left for Africa and Hyde disappeared in Chicago; Kitty is preparing a tape to send to Eric. She confesses to sampling some of the guys' stash. Kelso now claims he didn't actually have sex with Jackie, who's just back and furious with him. Hyde returns and punches Kelso. Charlie falls from the water tower - and dies (eliminating himself from the role of replacement Eric). Jackie hears Hyde was intending to propose in Chicago, and tries to make up. He says he's not ready to get married yet - just in time for the arrival of Sam, who announces she and Hyde are already married.
- Stunned to see her own face transposed onto another actress' body for the cover of a porn video - The Last Picture Ho - Cybill marches off to complain to the distributor, only for her and Maryann to be challenged to produce their own erotic script within one week. Unfortunately, Ira e-mails the wrong file - and Zoey's memoir of losing her virginity in Italy nearly hits the screen.
- While Peggy is tricked into smuggling cocaine to a death row inmate, who is her former student, Dale decides that he wants to be an executioner.
- The latest victim of the Marina Rapist - and the first to survive - is known to Hooker, but she resists his request to admit what really happened for fear of losing her boyfriend. Even when one suspect is killed whilst trying to escape a crime scene, Hooker isn't convinced the Marina Rapist's crime career is concluded.

- Having been denied a very lucrative job in a software company, Malcolm accepts the vision his parents have for him. The first US president that will actually keep in mind the best interests of poor people like his own family.
- Hooker and his colleagues take part in a drugs raid at a scrapyard. Afterwards, the body of a policeman is found; he wasn't involved in the raid and Hooker begins to suspect the officer was corrupt. Meanwhile, Stacy, who logged in the heroin seized, crosses paths with her former fiance, a lawyer who (unbeknown to her) has links to the same drugs gang. When he engineers a switch whilst the drugs are in transit to the LCPD laboratory, Stacy is suspended and eventually decides to quit the force. Hooker must solve the case, whilst saving both Stacy's career and her life.

- Cox is furious with Kelso for launching a lucrative "body scan" service at the hospital. Carla is becoming increasingly frantic about her impending marriage to Turk. Elliot is about to let Sean move in, but breaks up with him after J.D. confesses his love for her.
- The discovery that his latest patient is a comedy writer tips J.D. into a sitcom fantasy, complete with the dreaded laugh track. Turk and Carla worry that the romance has left their marriage. Cox volunteers to trim $26,000 from the hospital budget to avoid Kelso firing a cafeteria worker.
- As Turk and Carla return from their honeymoon, J.D. prepares for his first day as a qualified doctor. Elliot is still infuriated with him over their break-up. The hospital has a new psychiatrist, the somewhat dippy Dr Molly Clock. Dr Cox warns J.D. he still has much to learn.
- J.D. wakes next to Elliott, with the chilling realisation that he doesn't actually love her. At the dress rehearsal for the wedding, Turk is tricked into a humiliating gaffe by Carla's brother. J.D. chooses that moment to come clean with Elliott - who responds by throwing him across a table. Elsewhere, Cox deliberately provokes an argument with Jordan to maintain the spark in their relationship.
- Forced to hide in his garage to enjoy a brace of beers and half a Cuban cigar, Charlie's attempts to keep his unhealthy lifestyle habits secret from Mia fall apart when she smells bacon on his breath, resulting in their first major argument since taking their relationship to a physical plane.
- As their marriage looms, Donna stuns Eric by leasing a trailer and announcing she's ditching college in order to become a full-time DJ. Hyde drags Eric out to a strip joint, so Kitty decides to take the girls to a similar establishment with male strippers - which they discover is MC'd by Casey Kelso. As the evening drags on, Donna starts to worry whether she's made the right decision - just as Eric fears he's holding her back, and that it will end destroying their relationship.
- A young woman talks directly to camera, filming herself for a dating agency, but the shy introvert she describes is at odds with the sociopathic adrenalin-junkie we catch glimpses of during her spiel. This is a girl with a deadly dark side.
- Hyde hints he was willing to marry Jackie to stop her leaving for Chicago. New guy Charlie is in the doghouse after turning up drunk and dressed as a schoolgirl. Fez and Kelso discover Jackie is still in Point Place. Donna tries to come up with a leaving gift for Eric, who departs for Africa in three days. Charlie accidentally sees Kitty naked, but it's Red who gets into trouble. Eric's present turns out to be Donna, dressed as Princess Leia. Hyde doesn't know how to react when Jackie repeats her ultimatum, and lets her walk off, angry. Kelso offers to give her a ride to Chicago. Charlie tries to get back on Red's good side - with typically disastrous results. Kelso tries to dump Jackie at the bus station, but she demands he take her all the way. Fes tries to tap into Eric's Star Wars fantasy with Donna.
- Ray reluctantly takes his daughter to her friend Molly's for a sleepover, fearing another run-in with Molly's mother, Peggy (previously seen in season six's "Cookies"). A casual pat on the behind leads Ray to believe Peggy is coming on to him.
- Donna is still furious with Eric over his decision to spend a year in Africa. Jackie announces she's been offered a job in Chicago - and demands Hyde decide whether they should get married. Red introduces Charlie, the son of a fellow war vet, who unwisely invites the gang to visit his father's beer warehouse. Hyde makes his choice - but Jackie has already left.
- Tony invites Alex to make up the numbers for a double-date with two attractive twins. Matters take a turn for the worst when the Rev. Jim turns up unexpectedly and Alex spots his ex-wife Phyllis, fresh out of her second divorce.
- When Robert joins a cult, the Inner Path, Raymond points out their idiot cousin Gerard is already a member. Although Robert eventually sees through the group (particularly when he realises the leaders were really after Raymond, to be their spokesman), he allows himself to be the subject of a fake intervention, in order to stop Debra and Marie squabbling.
- Frasier adopts the role of cultural mentor to Todd Peterson, a Silicon Valley billionaire who's just become the station's new owner.

- Ray and Frank persuade Robert to make a complete hash of designing his and Amy's wedding invitations, so that Amy will step in and take over; unfortunately, the plan backfires and the invitations go out, warts 'n' all. Worse, Debra realises Ray has been faking incompetence for years to avoid performing his household duties.
- Jackie tries to hide from Hyde while pleading with Kelso for a ride to Chicago; Eric's grand farewell to Donna doesn't go quite as planned.
- The aliens organise a series of armoured car heists in order to finance the purchase of rubies for their new laser weapons. Meanwhile, Ironhorse is kidnapped by the vengeful husband of a woman who had accidentally been shot dead (by Ironhorse himself) during a raid on a research installation that had been invaded by aliens.
- Convinced that Kevin is having an affair, Rachel contemplates cheating on him with her mechanic. Cybill and Maryann arrive at the motel in time to prevent a disastrous misunderstanding - Kevin is actually distracted by his failure to gain tenure - but discover Sean, Zoey's boyfriend, getting ice for the girl he's cheating with. Kevin and Rachel agree to work on saving their relationship; Zoey tells Sean to get out of her life.
