- Julianus is still considering visiting the Hungarians' original home. He wants to ask for the king's help but the king has more important things to deal with. After several months of waiting Julianus manages to have a talk with the king who makes a promise that he will help Julianus reach his goal.
- In 1849 the Hungarian revolution is beaten down by the Russian Army. Ferenc Majláth, who was an officer in the army of the revolution, has to choose between imprisonment or getting enlisted in the Austrian army. He chooses enlisting but this decision is weighing on his conscience.

Soon she finds the right voice for the displaced people and the men who admire her: the village party secretary, the local police captain, but she soon gets fed up.
- In December 1956 there is a chaotic situation in Hungary. The revolution is put down by the Soviet army. People leave the country in large numbers for fear of revenge. A young soldier (György Angeli) who also took a part in the revolution, takes a train to Vienna together with his friend (Dániel Szerencsés).
- Vászka, the town robber, is off his form. He has no money and Luvnya, his sweetheart, constantly clamors for a trip to Moscow. His problems are solved when he meets Ványka, the village robber. The two robbers enter into an alliance and start working together.
