- Neal and his wife are having an argument. While trying to teach their cook the Charleston, she lets Neal's breakfast burn, and the argument is also heating up. He tells her that if he ran his office the way she runs their house, it would be in a mess all of the time. She challenges him to stay home and take care of the house and she will take his place at the office. He takes her up on it and she is barely out of sight before he has caused the cook/maid to quit. He has many problems with the ice-box, the iceman and the washing machine, and everything is in shambles where she comes home and tells him what an easy day she had. She neglects to tell him it was Labor Day and the office was closed for the holiday.
- Edna is the popular girl with many suitors. Father kicks them all out of the house, but Archie is the persistent suitor who cannot be so easily dismissed. He returns disguised as a very attractive girl, and father starts to get romantic, so Archie strings him along. Finally Pa discovers the deception and chases the impostor all over the town till a cop interferes and arrests the old boy for insulting a woman. This leaves Archie and Edna free to elope at their leisure.
- Cliff is trying to make a strong impression on his new sweetie and takes her to a cabaret for a large time. But his dog follows him there, and creates general confusion when he mixes among the waiters and dancers and almost wrecks the place.
- Wanda says good bye to her country boy friend who goes to the city to make his fortune. Feeling he is practically a wealthy man when he gets a job as delivery boy running a side-car motorcycle, he sends for Wanda so they can get married. But the aristocratic Jones family have arranged a wedding of their fat son August with a certain stout beauty whom August has never seen. There is a mix-up at the railway station, and Wanda is mistaken for the Jones' boy's prize. She is rushed to the wedding ceremony. In like manner the fat girl thinks Hector is August, and parks herself in his motorcycle. It all results in a wild scramble on the part of the four principals to straighten out their nuptial mix-up. Finally Hector, Wanda and the minister are thrown together pell-mell into the motorcycle, and the minister performs the ceremony as they speed along.
