With permission from the officer, Bobby gets down on one knee to teach his son one last lesson before he's taken away. When he's finished, and the boy nods confidently, Bobby steps out with the officer, to face his fate. In the end, Henry stands alone in the empty room, the social worker gives Henry permission to take his time, and we share a moment of silence with the boy. The little boy will be left alone, one shoe tied, one undone, waiting to meet his long and lonely journey of life.
