- Mickey Spillane's private eye Mike Hammer (Stacy Keach) probes his long-lost love's death while seeking their daughter.

- The sketches are Nationwide with jokes across the UK and Thumpalong with Reg Varnish. We then have an episode of Upstage Downstage. There is a sketch set in a canteen of California during WW2 which ends with an attempt to undermine American morale using well-known American entertainers. There is a brief discussion about bias in the news followed by a news report. Maurice Chevalier is in heaven and sings about how that he is glad he is not alive anymore. The show concludes with 2001 - A Royal Wedding Odyssey where Prince Eric marries a singer. There is a mass phone-in where you are able to ask questions of the participants.
- The sketches are The Movie Makers with Joan Bakelite, which includes extracts from 'The Love of Moses' and 'Love's a Tonic'. Then there is the best medic on Broadway with 'My Favourite Girls' musical. The Pundits with The A.J.P. Taylor Banjo Boys are followed by well-known British personalities doing stand-up comedy. We hear a story from The Annals of Scotland Yard introduced by Edgar Lastgasper. Liza Mimemi performs a selection of songs then Tony Schama looks at the making of the religious programme. There's a Pete Smith Nostalgiality followed by the political crisis on Nationwide across Britain. Formby Sings Againg entertains us with his favourite bits on the tele and the show concludes with the Broadcast for Guy Fawkes Day by Her Grace the Duchess of Brendagh.
- The sketches start with radio presenter Julie Hawn announcing that there are some advertising parodies on the TV. Film Fright is presented by Patrick Moon where we see excerpts from movies such as In Which We Starve, Reveille Never Came and Towering Quake 75. Joan Babelite introduces Faith to Faith and there is another episode of Police 3 1/2. There is a musical tribute to politicians and then an attempt by the BBC to show 'cheery' news. Los Paranoics entertain us and the mafia party give you an offer you can't refuse with a party political broadcast. Finally, Vicki Lustre stars in Born to Bitch.
- The sketches include too many feet, Whicker's World looks at marriage, somewhere in Hell...1982, at look at the use of language in Arra Gemme, Brideshead, Charmaine Globb on Probe looks at The Conned-Sumers, the unyielding parking attendant, high expectations, the upcoming ITV winter shows, finishing with the Fast Food Follies.
- Becker gets help to quit smoking from Reggie's friend, an ex-smoker who tells him the only substitute that worked for her was sex.
- At the diner, Becker treats a woman who is choking on her food and seems to be obsessed with expressing her thanks.
- Jacko is back to find that Lionel has died. Sandra finally leaves Splosh and Jacko decides to sell up and give Giles back his money. Elmo is back from Australia. He found an opal mine and is now very wealthy.
- Veronica takes over the business and immediately employs Sandra as secretary. Elmo originally offers to invest in Jacko's business but Jacko talks him into starting up a wine bar instead. Jacko takes up Veronica's offer of a job.
- Everybody goes to Giles and Gloria's country mansion. Veronica and Marcello return to Leslie's dismay. Mr. Morella tells Jacko that he cannot marry Lucia as she is to marry somebody else. Paulette convinces Elmo to buy her a country house.
- Everybody else can see that Paulette is continuing to be a gold digger but Elmo is blind to it. Eventually Elmo sees Paulette with another man and he sends her away. Veronica is very happy with Marcello but she has become distracted.
- Caroline picks at her nose in front of the camera at a malfunctioning ATM and is embarrassed to ask the manager for the money it didn't dispense. Richard is having a lot of difficulty breaking up with his girlfriend, Shelly.
- Caroline injures her back playing racquetball and takes some of Annie's pain killers that knock her out. She has a deadline for the next cartoon looming so Del and Richard collaborate to finish it.
- Caroline picks up a man she met in a clothes store and their date is a disaster. Del and Richard have a date with models and they don't turn up.
- All the gang get together to walk a 'Caroline in the City' balloon in the Thanksgiving Day parade. Unfortunately, Shelly's actions result in the balloon being released and subsequently causing havoc.

- For charity, Caroline offered to paint a Caroline mural and it turns out to be for a self-indulgent 10 year-old boy. Del has trouble coping when one of Caroline's old boyfriends from Italy pays a visit.

- Del's car is impounded but he has difficulties getting it out of the impound yard. A movie is being shot outside Caroline's apartment. Annie, Caroline and Richard volunteer to be extras but the results do not turn out well.
- Richard is mugged and Caroline helps him by buying him a new wallet. On the return journey, he and Caroline catch the mugger and he is arrested. The mugger turns out to be a small guy and Richard thinks of himself as a bit of a wimp.
- Caroline's auntie, Mary, arrives for a visit and sets her up with a date. Caroline takes him to the opera when Del doesn't want to go, which makes Del very jealous. He resorts to extreme actions to win her back.
- Del has proposed to Caroline but she is unsure about whether to accept. Richard looks for a new job and is seduced by the employment counsellor. Caroline finds them together, which changes everything.

- A glamorous actress is murdered and an M9 agent, whose cover has been discovered, is framed for her murder. Drake task is to get him out of jail and off the island using a submarine code-named Doris.
- Two M9 agents have been tortured and murdered on a Caribbean island, and Drake's sent to find out who killed them and to determine how much information they divulged before dying.
- Drake takes the place of a defector and goes behind the iron curtain to find out what is happening when foreign agents reach England. When he gets there he finds a replica English village, which is a school where foreign agents are taught to 'be British'. Actual British subjects, such as Drake, are employed to teach the agents the finer points of the British way of life. Drake sets out to disrupt their education and stop the supply of agents from reaching England.
- Two children end up in hospital after they stumble into a government germ warfare research unit. This troubles the chief scientist's conscience and he flees to France. Drake is sent to bring him back to England.
- An agent is selling secrets to a foreign government. How he is doing this is unclear so Drake is brought in to find out, which he does by befriending him as a bumbling teacher on stress leave.
- In a poignant reminder that agents are human and that they often take terrible punishment when caught, Drake tries to stop a former M9 colleague from extracting revenge on her former East German captor, who mercilessly tortured her.
- M9 receives a mayday signal from an agent in an Arab country. He has been compromised and must get out. The agent is also the contact for a local spy called the Fish. Drake is sent undercover to bring the Fish out.
- Drake follows a young lady, who has been selling secrets, to France where he confronts her with what he knows. Kathleen is being blackmailed and her role is to take the information to France. She offers to help Drake find who employs her.
