- Nina Frisk is a flight attendant who loves flying. She is happy above the clouds, far away from her dysfunctional family and superficial love life. But then one day Nina meets Marcus and his son William, and falls helplessly in love. For the first time ever in her life, Nina begins to long for a family of her own. But Nina soon discovers that life on earth can be just as turbulent as in the sky.
- July 10, 1985. The Rainbow Warrior, a ship belonging to Greenpeace is docked in the port of Auckland, New Zealand when it sinks after an explosion. The incident claims the life of Fernando Pereira, a Portuguese photographer who is on board at the time of the explosion. Suspicions start to grow that the explosion is not an accident. The Rainbow Warrior was originally set head for the Mururoa Archipelago to protest against French nuclear tests there, and to ensure it won't reach its destination, the French secret service takes the necessary steps in doing so. Two French intelligence agents, Alain Mafart and Dominique Prieur, appearing as a swiss married couple are being arrested by New Zealand's authorities under suspicion of placing the bombs on board the Rainbow Warrior. The two become subsequently known as the "fake Mrs and Mrs Turenge". The French intelligence service has now an indiscreet matter in their hands, and some want to leak information to their sources in the media.
- Ellen DeGeneres decides to make her own short film after reading the beginner's manual "Making Your First Short Film". Unfortunately it won't turn out to be that easy. To begin with she has difficulties placing the camera's position and setting the lights correctly. The casting also causes some serious thinking.
- Färdknäpp (One For The Road), based on a play by Willy Russell, is the story of Dennis who feels he's had enough of the cozy middle-class life in the suburbia. Before the middle-age (and John Denver's records) puts him down he wants to break away from everything. Unfortunately his wife Pauline and their friends William and Jane don't make it easy for him. To make matters worse, there seems to be some young punks vandalizing the neighborhood, but it's definitely not the ones everyone seem to believe it is.
- Pekka and Minna are a young couple who lives in the attic of her parents house. Everyday it becomes more and more frustrating for Pekka who therefore decides to build a house of their own. Unfortunately Pekka has no experience of such and neither his father-in-law or the drunken building master are much of a help.
