- Remy and his team investigate the death of an elderly and ailing socialite at a fund-raiser where Anne and Hawkins were in attendance. Hawkins thinks that the manservant, Bernard, was responsible when the cause of death is listed as a deliberate prescription medication overdose. But Remy tries to prove Bernard's innocence and in so doing learns some disturbing facts about his real relationship with his employer and his connection to his young lawyer, Felice.
- Remy and Anne investigate the mysterious death of a jazz musician friend of Smiley's where circumstantial evidence points to supernatural occurrences connected to a shady music producer, named Tyrell, whom Remy begins to suspect that he may in fact be the Devil incarnate. But the skeptic Anne tries to put together a rational explanation for the unexplained events happening around them when a blind blues singer confirms that the musician's death was Satan's work.
- Investigating the hit-and-run of a teenage transient, Remy asks Janine to go undercover as a fellow street person to keep an eye on a young teenage runaway, named Maura, whom stumbled upon a mysterious black duffel bag containing $25,000 in cash and who may be targeted by the shady thug whom is connected to a larger plan. Meanwhile, Smiley continues to deal with Yuki running the Blue Spot in her own way. When Yuki decides to return home to Japan, but does not have the money to go back, Smiley decides to throw farewell party for her as part of a fund-raiser for the blue musicians of the area.
- Remy tries to help out his old friend Delbert, a gambling addict, whom is heavily in debit to a local mobster. But when a treasury agent is found murdered at the casino boat where Delbert hangs out, Anne learns that he has been investigating Remy at the behest of Hawkins, while the leads that Remy follows point to the casino owner who is involved in a counterfeit operation and he asks Anne to pose as bait to entrap the owner.
- When Anne's younger sister, Sophie, arrives in town for a quick visit, Remy takes them, Darlene, and Smiley out to a fund raiser at a local art gallery to save a local radio station where the star DJ, Cougan, is murdered. With everyone trapped inside the building by a sudden hurricane, Remy puts his detective skills into full force to find the killer in a building where nearly everyone, including Sophie, is a suspect as well as has ties to Cougan's sordid love life.
- Remy investigates the death of the father of a young débutante in a suspicious plane crash in the swamps and learns a series of facts about the unscrupulous businessman, including the fact that C.D. was romantically involved with the widow of the victim. Meanwhile, Anne, with Darlene's help, strikes out on her own investigation into the mysterious death by trying to establish a motive by either the débutante daughter Alana, or the estranged artist son Kent.
- Remy investigates the murder of a traveling con artist whom may have been involved in a big scam to locate a mysterious cargo of merchandise worth millions. Assisting Remy and Anne with their case is a klutzy and accident-prone private investigator looking for clues involving another scam in which the murder victim's partner, a local grifter named Nikki whom Remy used to know, may be either conning them or is a target herself.
- In the retrospective season final, Remy and Anne are abducted by a pair of redneck brothers whom Remy put away their serial killing eldest brother, leading to the mismatched detective and attorney trying to get away from their would-be killers by hiding out deep in the swamps where they reminisce about their happier and more harrowing times. Meanwhile, C.D. and Smiley figure out that Remy and Anne are in trouble when they go missing and try to find them before the Bill Brothers have their chance to lynch them.
- While investigating the murder of a mysterious businessman at a kiddie park, Remy, Anne, and Smiley get drawn into a search for four parts of what appear to be a legendary treasure map leading to a hidden 18th Century pirate treasure in the area which is also sought after by a one-eyed Frenchman who may have a connection to the murder victims, and to a local barmaid who may know more than she knows about the treasure map.
- In this take on 'Rear Window' one of Anne's friends, Holly, whom is recovering with a broken leg, thinks she's witnessed a murder in the apartment from across the courtyard from her apartment. Remy initially doubt's Holly's story, but soon launches a personal investigation into the neighbor whom is a illusionist from England whom may be holding more than a few skeletons in his closet. Elsewhere, Remy makes a bet with C.D. for him stop smoking cigars for 48 hours.
- Remy investigates the mysterious death of a businessman whom he believes it to be the work of voodoo. While everyone, but the skeptic Anne, believes in the local voodoo superstitions, Remy sets off with Smiley to find the right culprit, while Anne decides to try out an experimentation to see if it really exists by concocting a "love potion" for Remy to notice her.
- The death of a band leader in a barroom brawl leads to Smiley's uncle getting arrested on suspicion of the murder. Remy agrees to help Smiley look into the case involving an Marti Gras Indian costume which goes missing from one hand to another which may be connected to a diamond smuggling ring. Smiley at the same time falls head-over-heels for a young investigator, named Corinne, whom is also searching for Smiley's uncle's missing costume.
- Grace tries to bring together Nick Cavatelli, a physical trainer, and Summer Whelen, a nutritionist expert. Her plan is to hire them both to work on her fitness at the Valentine mansion, in which Summer is too shy to share her romantic feelings for Nick. But things become more complicated when Kate reveals to Grace that she used to have a relationship with Nick years back. Meanwhile, Ari implores Danny to find his love gun, fearing for the safety of the family. Danny and Kate go looking for it in Grace's secret safe. But when Grace catches them, she refuses to believe Danny's motives are anything other than selfish.
- Remy tries to help out Frank, an old piano-playing friend whom has a crush on a young mobster's girlfriend, and when he's accused of murdering the thug, Remy must go against all laws of ethics to try to protect his friend from a powerful mob kingpin, as well as the femme fatal Gina, who holds a dark past which may involve a mysterious killer, dressed as a clown, who comes after Remy. Meanwhile, Smiley decides to buy a new car for himself, but when Remy destroys it in attempt to fake Frank's death, Smiley wants compensation for it.
- Remy, Anne, and C.D. are approached by a young policewoman and Civil War buff to help her investigate the murder of her friend whom was allegedly trying to track down alligator poaches in the bayous. While Remy begins to think there is a connection between a bar owner whom operates without a liquor license, Anne and Officer Joyce get stuck in a tree to get away from an aggressive alligator, while C.D. is persuaded by Joyce to let her join his reenactment group. Also, Smiley tries to find more work to write while he continues his music career.
- Remy and Anne investigate the murder of a novelist whom was researching a local vampire cult in New Orleans. While Remy tries to find the cult leader and prime suspect, Anne has a meeting of minds with a young research professor whom had a dark past of his own.
- While investigating the death of a wealthy businessman who died from a fall at a house reputed to be haunted, Remy and the team try to disapprove of the theory that the ghost of a scorned woman is behind it who shows up to murder three men every seven years. While Remy deals with a persistent female reporter, whom he once had a tryst with, Anne volunteers to go undercover at a local escort service to look for clues, while Smiley decides to moonlight at a taxi driver only to have his uncle's cab damaged by another falling victim.
- When Nellie's laundry machine goes bust, she tries taking another job as assistant teacher at Miss Harper's school, but learns that there are no funds to pay her. Nellie then takes a job as an assistant telephone operator at the telegraph office at the train station under the supervision of the annoying and obnoxious busybody Mrs. MacTavish, who quickly resents her presence and plots to get rid of her by holding a donation auction at the school to raise the funds needed. When Mr. Frawley donates a brass tobacco spittoon to the auction which was given to him as a gift by the mine owners, he realizes how valuable it is and plots to get it back by bidding on it against Charley.
- The Valentines plan to unite Mona McAllister, a recently divorced movie critic, and her new next-door neighbor Duncan. But Mona's dog, Clovis, seems intent on keeping them apart as he's vicious towards Duncan. When the Oracle reveals to Phoebe that Mona and her dog are true soul mates, Danny and Kate seek help from Aunt Circe. She is an ancient witch, practiced in the art of metamorphosis. Meanwhile, Grace and Leo refuse to believe that Danny was assaulted in the mansion. Ari pays a threatening visit to Circe when he gets wind that the Adamantine blade will soon be arriving in Los Angeles.
- Remy investigates the murder of a groom at his bachelor party where the only evidence is that of a high-heeled shoe left behind by the killer who may have been a transvestite. In attempting to dig into the past of the murder victim, Anne also learns some hidden facts about the groom's real interests as well as the bride-to-be's urges. Elsewhere, C.D. tries to find time to help Remy with his investigation while planing to hold another Civil War re-enactment outside of town.
- Remy begins moonlighting as a personal bodyguard to a wealthy shipping magnate when his life is threatened. But Remy cannot resist temptation to the rich guy's young wife, Isabella, while leads point to a sordid state of affairs involving a prenuptial agreement, and the man's first jealous wife. Meanwhile, Anne asks Smiley to go undercover to investigate Isabella's past involving her shady "brother" Martin connected to a local pimp who may hold a clue to the case. Elsewhere, Darlene struggles to run the station house in the absence of several officers on leave.
- Detective Remy McSwain is a brash, womanizing, and unconventional New Orleans police detective who doesn't always play by the rules in order to get criminals locked up. But with the help of his uncle C.D. LeBlanc, the police chief and a fanatic Civil War buff, and Remy's man-hungry detective partner, Darlene Broussard, he always manages to stay one step ahead of the law. But everything changes with the arrival of Anne Osborne, a district attorney from Washington DC whom is sent to oversee a case of illegal fishing in the remote bayous where Remy is investigating a murder which may lead to a high-up power in the city council. Anne finds herself captivated by the intense good/bad cop who tries to gain her affections with the help of his street informant and blues musician Smiley Dupree, while the local district attorney, Lightnin' Hawkins, persuades Anne to get close to Remy in order to nail him on a corruption probe the city is putting on.
- While Georgie's youngest son, Evan, writes a school report on the four elements of nature, he observes each of the four elements in four different stories around him. WATER: After Victor saves Reed from drowning in her bathtub, her hostility towards him turns to lust, and Alex feels both threatened and jealous by Reed's new found attention towards Victor. FIRE: Teddy gets help from her sisters when a fire burns down the Whitsig garage with all her new clothing designs before a major fashion show. AIR: Frankie tries to get pregnant with Mitch, who gets a flat tire on his way to meet with her during a lunchtime tryst. EARTH: As Even completes his science project, his father, John, tries to grow a beard as a change of image, in which Georgie does not approve of.
- Frankie finds herself in a bind when the man who helped her achieve corporate vice president (from episode 'Two Steps Forward, Three Steps Back') is accused of sexual harassment of another woman at the office. After losing her window decorating job, Teddy falls under the influence of Fern Newsuranger, a cosmetics saleswoman, who Teddy decides to follow her path. Meanwhile, Beatrice gives Truman a hard time over what furniture to get rid of when they move in together.
- On the night of Marti Gras, Remy finds himself held hostage at his hangout, the Blue Spot Bar, by an escaped convict, named Lyle Tillman, who seeks to prove his innocence of a murder-robbery the previous year while Lyle's very pregnant wife, Grace, holds C.D. hostage in his office at the police station as another bargaining chip leading to Darlene (stuck wearing a Little Bo Peep costume) as well as Anne (stuck in a Marie Antouenette costume) to try to help defuse the situation while Smiley finds himself the errand boy between the two standoffs while Hawkins assembles a group of SWAT men (stuck in clown costumes) to plan a brash assault on the bar in spite of the situation.
- Although the modern equipment is supposed to ease the workload in the mine, problems with the machines create new headaches for the miners. When Rufus and Scotty can't handle their coal cutter, they recruit Spider to help. But later, Tony figures out that Spider has been having access to the equipment and the constant roar of the drills have impaired his hearing.
- Anne's fiancée, Geoffrey Stodermayer, a marine biologist, arrives in town to set an upcoming date for their wedding in which Remy drags him into his latest case of investigating a shady strip club owner's liquor imports in which Geoffrey develops an attraction to Gigi, an informant who works at the Naked Angel exotic club and is soon put in jeopardy by the thugs out to silence her and anyone else who informs on them.
- As Anne settles in New Orleans (aka: The Big Easy) to stay, Remy continues to try to win her affections with the help of Smiley and his other associates, while both Anne and Remy have fantasies about the other, while Lightin' Hawkins also tries to get Anne to notice him as well. Meanwhile, a fortune-telling friend of Remy's, named Zelda Riley, tells him about a premonition about a street informant being murdered. Remy investigates and soon locks horns again with Anne who suspects Zelda somehow being involved, while Remy thinks otherwise and sets out to prove it.
- During a late-summer heat wave, Alex wants to have the perfect wedding for her mother and Judge Trueman Ventner. But Beatrice doesn't like her daughter's plans. While Alex spends a romantic evening with her ex-husband, Wade, Reed informs them that she wants to quit college to be with her boyfriend Kirby. Later, Reed informs everyone that she has married Kirby, and Alex reacts by breaking EVERY piece of crystal in her house. Meanwhile, Frankie is concerned that Georgie, who is seven months pregnant, may be over-exerting herself, so she hires a housekeeper for Georgie. While Cat prepares to leave town for college, Teddy fears that Beatrice will move away from everyone after she marries Truman.
- Lil Bit and Dupree invite the circus to Meth and Red's home without their permission. Meth orders them to get the circus away but suddenly a rash of burglaries strikes the neighborhood. Nancy forms a neighborhood watch and finds herself patrolling with Method Man. Red's addiction to video games weakens his eyesight and he spends most of his time sexually cuddling with his partner instead of looking for the burglar. Meth and Nancy end up bickering with each other when both Meth and Red accuse Nancy's son Skylar of being the burglar. They both have to put their differences aside so that no more robberies would occur and catch the real robber.
- Method and Red pit Nancy and Bill against each other as a part of a plan to use the Blafords' porch for their Miss Ghetto USA beauty pageant. Nancy immediately says 'no', but Bill says 'yes' after Meth and Red go to him afterwards. Nancy gets furious with Bill for this and kicks him out, so he stays with Meth and Red. When the ladies arrive for the pageant, Bill suddenly starts to get on everyone's nerves (bugging Dorothea while she's watching a soap opera, while throwing out Meth's marijuana, and stopping Red from getting any sexual action with the women). The guys must decide if they want to throw Bill out or keep him in the house until the pageant is over, but their patience is very low.
- Method Man falls hard for Brenda Biscoe, Bill 's attractive co-worker and the mother of Skyler's love interest Morgan. She rejects him at first but starts to get attracted after he lies and says he hikes and goes to church (two of Brenda's hobbies). Red bets Meth that if he doesn't get into bed with Brenda, then he has to buy Red a new car. Meth eventually starts to fall for Brenda and vice-versa ,to the disgust of Nancy who knows Brenda as well. Red and Dorothea conspire a plan to get rid of Brenda as Meth starts spending way more time with Brenda than with them two.
- Method and Red seek to build a sports arena (to be called the Methodome at the Redowlands) before NBA basketball star Yao Ming whom they are rivals with because Red caused Yao an injury in the past. Nancy's husband Bill is a businessman, so Red asks him if he knows any investors that can help pay for the $500 million stadium. Bill tells them of an investor named Carrie Norris, whom they try to meet. Meanwhile, Dorothea forces Meth to have a talk with Skyler after the boy is unduly influenced by one of his music videos. Meth goes to Skyler's school and talks to the principal but ends up slapping her on the behind which causes everyone at the school to start doing it. Meth is now viewed as a negative influence across the nation. Meth and Red must now clear Meth's image and try to get the money from Carrie for the stadium.
- A United Nations team travels to Mexico to investigate a bank that is suspected to be to be laundering drug money for a local cartel. Frankie goes undercover as part of the team. But when cartel terrorists take over the bank, Kilmer, Atkins, and the team makes a secret alliance with a Mexican official to try and save Frankie's life which is in grave danger.
- Method and Red try to keep an old friend in prison named Charles Chesterfield 'Chu Chu' Hillfont from finding out about his girlfriend Rose's new line of work. Chu Chu asked Meth and Red to look out for his girlfriend while he is locked up, but both of them have forgotten about her for years. They invite her to stay at their house until Chu Chu gets out. Meanwhile, Dorothea forces the boys to help Skyler build a car for the soap box derby. Meth and Red try their best to avoid Skyler because they have been trying to get away from Skyler since meeting him and not spend time with him due to his obsession with them as well as their continuing conflict with his mother Nancy. Meth and Red bribe Skyler with hundreds of dollars to leave them alone every time he comes over and asks for their help with the car.
- As Dorothea's 25th anniversary at work approaches, Redman promises to get Chaka Khan to perform at her party. Meanwhile, Nancy is blasting her Kenny Loggins music from her house which angers Meth because he has a personal grudge against Kenny. While setting up for the party, Meth and Red suck up all the power from the neighborhood for their own home. Nancy retaliates by calling in electric company agents and they shut Meth's and Red power off to their house. Meth must find a way to get the power back on in time for his Mom's party.
- Grace's continuing affair with Ray becomes complicated when her estranged husband Ari, (known as Ares, the god of war), returns to Los Angeles and wants to pick up where he and Grace left off. Ari tries to get Danny to come work for him rather than bring couples together. Meanwhile, Danny, Phoebe and Kate try to bring unite another couple, a chemist named Morgan who pines after his co-worker Nisha.
- Raina has an unpleasant meeting with her brutal ex-con father whom she finally gets the nerve to stand up to. Meanwhile, Sonja must face the consequences when a revealing photo of her goes public, while she continues to ask Isaac to keep the existence of her newborn baby daughter a secret from the public. Also, Chris tries to help Raina and her brother Alex when Russian mobsters give a lot of trouble for Alex over his past business.
- A policewoman gets involved with the actor she was supposed to protect.
- When a mysterious sniper begins killing people in San Diego from great distances and the FBI is unable to find the culprit, Kilmer and the Threat Matrix team flies out to California to try to identify the sniper and figure out his motive as well as a way to stop him before he kills more people.
- Frankie roughly interrogates a terrorist at Guantanmo in an attempt to stop the assassination of a major political figure, but in the process the terrorist dies and Frankie is put on trial. Kilmer and the team must look through the video tapes and see if they can stop the assassin and clear Frankie.
- Dean Wormer is in trouble when his wife, Marion, apparently finds him in his office with a young co-ed. So, Hoover and the Deltas offer to help him out hoping that their services will make him more lenient on them despite the fact that they don't trust him to keep his word.
- Concerned that magazine writer Keith Debeetham will portray them as "soft" (which he previously did to 50 Cent) now that they live in the suburbs, Method and Red grill Keith every chance they get so that he knows that they are "still hood". At the same time, Meth and Red promise Skyler that they will appear at his birthday party and he tells everyone at his school. Lil Bit warns Meth and Red that they won't "look too hood, sitting there eating birthday cake, with a bunch of White suburban kids". On top of that, Keith Debeetham reveals one reason he gave 50 Cent a bad review is because he still live with his mother. The pair have to find a way to not let Keith know that Dorthy is Meth's mom, find a way to attend Skyler's party, and to convince Keith that they have not changed since moving to the suburbs.
- When it's known that 'Parents Day' is approaching at Faber, Hoover and the rest of the Deltas decide to somehow to trick the rival Omegas into leaving town (and away from campus) so they can switch the Greek letters on their house and the Omega's house so the Deltas' moms and dads will be visiting them in the clean Omega house, while the Omegas' moms and dads end up in the messy Delta house.
- When Blotto gets into trouble one too many times, Dean Wormer expels him from the college. However, the tables are soon turned when when the Dean accidentally hits Blotto with his car and he's forced to accept a set of demands by the Deltas to prevent Blotto from filing a lawsuit against the entire college.
- A speech by President John F. Kennedy about the fear of nuclear war leads to Greg Marmalard and the rest of the Omegas building an elite bunker for survival with campus security funds, while Flounder ponders the meaning of existence. When a faulty test alarm sounds like a real warning of missiles launching, everyone goes into action... with the Delta's throwing a 'Welcome Russians' party to end all parties, while the Omegas just prepare for the end.
- Dean Wormer gives the Delta House one week to clean up the house or face expulsion because of a new college bi-law of displaying clean frat houses. So, Hoover and the guys hire a house mother to help get things together. Meanwhile, Blotto enters a weightlifting contest to try to win the money that is required to make repairs to the house.
- Kent 'Flounder' Dorfman's life is turned upside down when his parents want to transfer him to another college when they feel that the Deltas are a negative influence on him. Unfortunately for Flounder, the only place that will accept him is a women's college. But to the chagrin of Dean Wormer, Flounder's parents also threaten to cancel their annual monetary contribution to Faber College when they plan to take Flounder out forcing the Dean and the Deltas to reluctantly team up to find a way to keep Flounder at Faber.
- Kilmer, Frankie, Vargas and the rest of the team investigate a series of bombings at local universities and must find the culprit before he can strike again. While assisting with the case, Mo is forced to investigate an old friend from Egypt and use the powers of the Patriot Act to detain and interrogate when suspicion falls on him.
- In a deep underground bunker called 'The Vault' located somewhere in Washington D.C. a group of CIA, FBI and NSA agents work together as part of the USA Homeland Security Force to keep the America safe from terrorists and other threats that the US President receives in a series of classified documents code titled the 'Threat Matrix'. The leader of this unit is Special Agent John Kilmer, a brilliant 42-year-old former FBI agent whom has White House authorization to call upon the technical skills, firepower and the specialist agents. Kilmer reports only to Colonel Roger Atkins, the gruff and shrewd operations liaison to the President. Kilmer is always conflicted by the presence of his ex-wife, Special Agent Frankie Ellroy-Kilmer, on his team. Frankie is a 35-year-old, ruthless and highly trained CIA interrogation expert and 'profiler' whose skills allow her to crack even the most hardened enemies. The rest of Kilmer's team make up of Mohammad 'Mo', a 34-year-old Egyptian-American former CIA operative stationed in the Middle East; Lia 'Lark' Larkin, a 36-year-old former FBI forensics specialist; Tim Vargus, a 28-year-old ex-DEA agent from Miami; Jelani, a 24-year-old African-American computer genius who intercepts phone, fax and radio signals from around the world and supports the team with the latest NSA technology, as well as the hearing-impaired, but equally intelligent Holly Brodeen, a young NSA computer tech expert who coordinates with Jelani. To prove to the bureaucrats to continue funding for the Vault, Kilmer, Frankie and Vargas steal a nuclear warhead from a nuclear missile silo in South Dakota to prove the vulnerability of the safety of America's nuclear weapons from terrorists. Afterwards, following a tip from an informant, Frankie heads to Indonesia to talk to a prisoner who claims to have information on a group of AQ (Al Qaida) terrorists coming to the US to stage a massive terrorist attack on the DC stock exchange. But when Frankie is captured by the AQ handlers, Kilmer must not only try to negotiate her release, but find the 'sleeper terrorist' before he carries out his suicide mission and kills hundreds.
