- Gomer accompanies his friend, Frankie to his home for the weekend. While there, Gomer sings a love song to Frankie's sister, who is engaged to a local fellow who is not in a rush to get married. Frankie and his mother use this as an opportunity to move the fellow to the altar.

- Duke Slater comes back as a Corporal to run the platoon in Sergeant Carter's absence. The men see Slater as a buddy and take advantage of his kindness. Gomer rallies the troops to show Duke respect.
- Gomer's conned into signing a contract for dancing lessons.
- The Marines send Carter's and Hacker's platoons to maneuvers. Hacker tricks Gomer into giving the location of Carter's tents, so they have to move in the middle of the night. Carter accidentally raids a girl scout camp, due to faulty information from Pyle. Carter sends Pyle back to the base. Pyle is captured by Hacker, and then escapes. Pyle visits the girl scouts, Hacker's platoon raids. Carter platoon right behind them, capturing Hacker platoon. Hacker back at the base, pays the $50 lost the bet. A surprise twist at the end leaves Gomer smiling, and both Sargeants disappointed.
- Gomer finds himself caught in the middle between his buddies and a card shark. Gomer is used as a patsy so show that you can win and he wins big.
- Gomer won't rest until he helps to reunite Sergeant Carter with Miss Bunny after they had a lovers spat.

Now they must find a way to explain to the colonel what happened and try not to get into even hotter water.

- It appears that Miss Bunny is cheating on Sergeant Carter but appearances can be deceiving.

- Sergeant Carter saves Gomer from a live grenade that Gomer dropped during exercises and Gomer becomes a pest repaying the sergeant for the deed so Carter sets it up for Gomer to save his life.
- Sergeant Carter and Private Pyle are asked to sit for a Colonels dog which runs off. In an attempt to find it they round up three wrong dogs.

- Gomer finds a white rabbit, gives it to a General's son and the Sergeant lets it loose thinking Gomer is keeping an unauthorized bunny. The rabbit must be found and the search is on but there are many white rabbits on base.
- Manuel Cortez comes to America to observe the Marine Corps in action to help him learn about the U.S. military and to help his country's armed forces.
- Gomer makes friends with a hillbilly named Branch.
