She then asks them to locate one of her classmates a guy named Phil whom she dated before she dated the boys father. A.J. is uncomfortable about it. When they open it, they find a policeman's badge from Mexico and a gun which is used by Mexican police and that it was fired. The boys take it to Town. Later Phil shows up and says that 40 years ago he went to Mexico and got into it with a local cop and shot him with his gun and ran with the gun and his badge and placed it in the time capsule. The boys turn him to the police but Cecilia doesn't believe him and she asks the boys to look into it but A.J. is not exactly willing.

When a fight breaks out in the studio during a taping (exactly mirroring a fight on Geraldo Rivera's talk show the very day before this episode was broadcast) someone in the overhead lighting grid takes advantage to start blasting away at the host with a huge revolver. A.J. and Rick identify the stalker and start hunting for him as he goes over the wall into an adjacent empty studio, but can they stop him before he kills the talk show host, who also went next door?
