- Under the Benbareks' orders, Bruce and Martel kidnap a girl in Strasbourg. But the abduction is a fiasco and the young woman manages to escape. As she runs along the road, shocked and half-naked, she is picked up by Rita. After this mess-up, Bruce decides to lie low, leaving Martel to cope with the consequences of the failed kidnapping. At the factory, the workers come across the letters addressed to Rita's superiors by their management.
- Martel learns that the Benbareks have paid a visit to his mother. The message is clear, he has to find the girl. Vélocia decides to sue Rita. The media take an interest in the case, and the Ministry gets word of it. The similar situations of Martel and Rita bring them together and a bond is formed. In Strasbourg, Tokarev, who used to be Victoria's pimp, has identified the kidnappers. Even though he has terminal cancer, he wants to settle his scores before dying.
- Vélocia, the last factory in the middle of a small Vosges valley. That's where Martel, a labor unionist, works. To make ends meet, he also works as a bouncer in a nightclub. Not far away, there is Rita, a labor inspector subscribed to lost causes. And then Jordan, a somewhat lost teenager who multiplies nonsense to seduce the beautiful Lydie. She lives on an isolated farm with her brother Bruce, a fake boss on steroids who plays bouncer with Martel, and their grandfather. One day, the factory management announces a social plan. And suddenly, everything changes.
- Martel's situation is increasingly complicated. Involved in the organization of the social plan, he must compose between a management that wants to close quickly and colleagues who do not trust him. His money problems also become more and more problematic, so much so that he comes to steal from the coffers of the works council. Rita welcomes her younger brother Greg, who has just been dumped. Living together is difficult. Bruce compromises himself with the Benbareks, dangerous traffickers who offer him a deal.
- Rita lives with Martel but wonders more and more about the personality of this man whom she ultimately does not know. A compromising photo found in a drawer decides her to leave. Now on his own, Martel can no longer contain this rage that has been surfacing for too long. All the contained violence rises and explodes. Rita conducts her investigation and manages to find Victoria's trace. Jordan and Lydie continue their escape. Running out of money, they steal a car from a gas station. Now they are on the run.
- Rita was attacked in her home and Jimmy, Tokarev's second in command, picked up Victoria. Martel's situation is not improving: the Benbareks are more and more threatening and his helplessness in the face of the company's management is driving him mad. To these problems is added a drama: the death of his mother. Rita leaves the hospital and moves in with Martel. Lydie and Jordan set off on the road with backpacks and a pistol, recovered from Bruce's car.
