- Nam is not your typical teenager. Sure, he spends a little too much time on his computer, and tries a little too hard to meet the gorgeous stewardess who lives in his building. But recently three of Nam's friends have committed suicide, which isn't all bad since, as the title implies, he sees ghosts. However, these suicides only foreshadow weirder things to come. Soon his brother Tung, along with Chee, his stewardess crush, begin to act strangely, while his visions of ghostly children and other phantoms grow more frequent. With aid from his brother's girlfriend Charlie, Nam sets out to investigate his haunted building's past and help these malevolent spirits cross over.

In the tradition of "Ground Hog Day" and "Run Lola Run" he makes 3 choices. First, what would happen if he took all the money without telling a soul? Then, what if he only turned in half? Next, watch middle distance runner, Adnan who uses sports as a form of expression to seek peace in his war-torn country, Iraq. He overcomes the dangers of his own safety and persists in his training in the hopes of bringing home a medal from Guangzhou. The film moves on to show the bravery of private ranch owner, Aljunaibi from the United Arab Emirates. For him, owning cheetahs and gliders have brought him motivation, strength and confidence as an equestrian who is ready for the Games. For Kazakhstani weightlifter, Ilya Ilin who reigned at the men's 94kg weightlifting competition during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, his hopes are not merely pinned on winning the Asian Games' gold medal but his courageous attempts to break the record. Lastly, the film spotlights on a forefront team, the Japanese women's football squad. With their superb athletic skills, these ladies fight it out against their Asian rivalries. Throughout these athletes' journeys from their homelands to the competition grounds of Guangzhou, "Together in Guangzhou" also encapsulates a more humanistic approach of ordinary people who build relationships with these athletes. They together bring a more vivid story of passion, dreams and friendship in the world of sports.
- This is a simple story, yet with complicated emotions and subject matter. The relationship between the story and the film is always a subject matter that interests me. Other than the common film language, is there any other way of telling a story? Cotton is losing herself gradually, losing the threshold of being one single Ego and thus opening herself to other spirits. In the process of losing her individuality, there has been no fear, only a pleasant sensation with the guilt of peeping instead.
